Katham Industries, Inc. Heating & Air Conditioning

We had previously used a few other local companies for some issues both major and minor, but were never thrilled with the service (can you say huge leak!) so when our basement system kicked the bucket, we figured we would give Katham a try. They sent someone right away (in a snowstorm) to diagnose and came back in the morning to replace the piece. Fast forward a few months and we called them for another issue in our upstairs unit. Again they came right away to diagnose and fix the issue. We’ve also had them install a new exhaust after a kitchen renovation. The owner goes above and beyond for his company and the Katham technicians are extremely clean, polite and very knowledgeable. After some nightmare situations, we feel we’re now in extremely capable, fair and trustworthy hands with Katham.

Katham is terrific! I have used them for repairs and maintenance in the past but this year I needed a new central a/c. The were prompt neat, and George set me up within 24 hours for the new installation right before the heat wave began.

I can’t say enough good things about Katham Industries. I called them for the first time because I was having a problem with my air conditioning system. I had been using another company for years and had never really been satisfied with the service. I spoke with Athina, the office manager, who was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable, and set up an appointment with her for the next day. The technicians, who arrived on time to the minute (wow!), were well-groomed, personable and able to diagnose the problem immediately. They had the necessary part on the truck and my air conditioning system was up and running in two hours.

The next day, Athina called to make sure that everything had gone well and that I was still “cool.” I was, and have been every since.

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, George, who came out to the house to give me an estimate on a generator. What a decent guy - and I had the estimate that afternoon – amazing. His price wasn’t the lowest, but I plan to go with him. Will review the installation after it happens. Can’t imagine I won’t be pleased.

Katham Industries just installed a 75 gallon hot water heater. The work was quick, excellent and fully explained to me. Several years ago they installed an entire air -cond sustem for my top two floors. They actually did the work while I was on vacation. I trusted them completely with my house keys. That work was neat and perfectly done.They left my home neat and orderly I will always use this company

The choice is simple - You should use them.

I purchased a house that was maintained by Katham. It was an older home, but you wouldn't know it from looking at the mechanical room. The boilers were 10 years old and looked like they were new. The inspector told me that he knew of Katham and that they were awesome.
Naturally I kept them and I've been thrilled.

Scheduling - You call and you get a quick appointment.

Customer Service - You have questions, they get answered quickly (same day).

Ownership - Really cares, and that gets passed through the organization.

Value - This is the real metric. If you only look at price, these guys may not be the cheap answer (they're certainly not the most expensive either). Having said that, these are expensive systems that can break. So you need to look at the cost of saving a dime upfront. You have a choice you can be proactive and make these systems last for a long time, or you can go with the cheap guys and get hit with surprise and premature replacement bills.

Again the choice is simple - you should use them.

Katham was just perfect for us. While they are always supper efficient in the annual maintenance they were amazing in installing a new system for us. They were timely, clean, and proficient most importantly the crew was so very nice.

Katham Industries completely renovated our 1985 central AC with much needed new ducts, output and intake vents and dual zone thermostat. Couldn’t be happier with the results and the painless process. Absolute professionalism from A to Z.

First just let me say my name is Lisa Dash-Grimes and my husband is Randall Grimes. My husband was the one who interacted with this group. He wanted me to tell you all that Katham did a great job from estimate to installation. What is a very big expense and can be very confusing, Katham walked my husband through this process and helped us make a decision that we could feel confident with in the end. On a recent afternoon, PSE&G determined that my boiler was not working properly. I called Katham who confirmed the issue within an hour or so and set me up with a new boiler the next day. I was very pleased with the fast turnaround and the new boiler appears to be working well.

They are honest, timely, and respectful. After being told by A.J. Perri - a scam AC repair company - that I needed a completely new system, AC coil, condenser etc. and that it was going to cost me $10,000, Katham came out was honest and had my system up and running in less than two hours to the tune of $600. Will only use Katham from now on
