Chris from CPB mechanical came and helped me out when my Central Air unit was leaking water onto the floor. He has years of experience and knows the inner workings of this complex equipment very well. He was able to check the refrigerant levels and accurately diagnose the problem. After remedying the problem, he even cleaned the condenser coils. Overall I was happy with the service and will recommend him.

I had a small gas leak in a newly purchased property and pseg came and shut it off. I called Chris to come and check it out and he immediately showed up within the hour. He gave excellent service, fixed my issue immediately and even checked out some other areas of my house to make sure I wouldn't have any future issues. He was extremely helpful, professional, and very reasonably priced. I will definitely use him again in the future if i need anything else done on the property. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone i know!!!

I recently used CPB mechanical but I do not recommend this business. I dealt with Chris and the work was more expensive than I had anticipated and since he charges by the hour he took almost 2 hours to finish a job that he could have easily done in 30 minutes or less. He somehow managed to find ways to go back to his van at least 8 times during the whole process to kill time.

Just so you can have an idea, he will charge you $130 to diagnose your problem. Then, if you need new parts he will get them and overcharge you. ( I know this is true because I asked him for the price twice after he had purchased the parts and he told me different prices each time). Finally, once he goes back to replace the parts, it will be another $130 an hour and he will make sure he spends at least 2 hours to make his trip worth (and I’m in Jersey City, just 15 mins away).

These small companies know nothing about customer retention. They need to understand that when they are honest and fair, customers will keep coming back, but when they try to be smart and make a few extra bucks, customers like me will never go back. I am sure there are better options here in the area.

My 3 heating systems were repaired/replaced and brought up to code by Chris . He was amazing and extremely honest. I’d recommend him to anyone who needs his services.

I find Chris so knowledgeable in HVAC systems. I am also impressed by the neatness and professionalism of the tankless heater installation that he did...no complaints, all compliments.

Our tenant reported hearing running water. We called several plumbers and couldn’t get a response. Chris answered our call after hours. He was very professional and being it wasn’t time sensitive gave us the option to have him come the next day to avoid the additional charge. He arrived on time, was thorough, professional and efficient. His rate were reasonable and we were extremely happy with his service.

I was driving on the NJ turnpike one of your commercial vans purposely went around me because I wasn’t going fast enough. After going around me he purposely hit the brakes in front me while I was already doing 75 mph with my kids in the car causing me to have to break hard. If this is how your company is representing you on the road I wouldn’t want you in my home.

On mid of winter my heating system not working call him I got Quick response and got fast Excellent service . Definitely recommend him.

Chris arrived early and went over everything with me. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Chris and his workers have taking care of all my HVAC needs for years . I highly recommend CPB.

Chris is as honest as they come. His pricing is reasonable and fair. He was quick to show up, fixed the issue, and waited to confirm that the issue had actually been resolved.

He is a no BS type of person. He will tell you exactly how it is, which I appreciate a lot. I can confidently tell that I can trust his professional judgement without ever second guessing it. If you need an honest, hardworking person for any of your HVAC needs, Chris is it. Stop google-ing for anyone else.
