    My furnace stopped suddenly. Thermostat went dark outside temp
    dropped to high 20's last Saturday. Standard Heating arrived Monday found problem immediately and replaced the pump and the furnace started right away I had a warm house in minutes
    Themostat worked perfectly. The men explained everything and the whole job took ha4lf an hour. And at very reasonable cost. I couldn't be happier. Recommend Standard Heating!!! I also use their furnace and air cond. tuneup service.

    Very disappointed in this company.

    We had a technician come out to look at our furnace due to pilot light issues in April. The technician (who was very nice, the only good part of this experience) who took a look, thought he found the issue, but told us that he wasn't entirely sure. Given how late in the year it was, the technician told us (verbatim) that if we turn the furnace back on in the Fall and it still isn't working, to call them and they would come out again under the same claim with no additional charge.

    Fast forward to the Fall. We turn the furnace back on, and the problem persists. So, we do what the technician told us to do. Unfortunately, the administrative staff were some of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. Not only did they accuse me of lying about what the technician said, but after I pushed them on it, the best response they could gather was "I GUESS we'll do you a favor and knock off $100 bucks from the fee." Additionally, they weren't even willing to have someone come out until the following week, but were STILL going to charge their "emergency weekend fee."

    Stay away from this place like the plague, they are only trying to scam you. If you are forced to use them, make sure you get EVERY WORD IN WRITING WITH EMAIL CONFIRMATION. They will likely still attempt to screw you over for a few extra bucks, but at least you have support.

    It's really a shame--we'll have to replace our furnace soon, and the technician was kind enough that we thought we'd do it through Standard. Now, not even considering them.

    UPDATE: As the response indicated, Standard did make the situation right. I have updated my review to four stars as outside of this situation the company (especially the technicians) have been very pleasant to work with.

    Service was amazing! I had a potential issue during the original furnace check & Standard sent out another tech (Nathan was great!) for a second look. He checked my furnace and took additional time with me to give me tips on how I could help the system run better. Both technicians were knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to explain things to me in a way I could understand. Definitely will recommend to others!

    Standard Heating charged me over $900 for spending roughly two hours at my house (no parts were replaced). He did fix one problem (drained the expansion tank), but didn't actually get the boiler working properly. Keep in mind, they charge you $200 just to show up, before they do anything. This $200 doesn't get wrapped up into their work or like the first hour of labor, you just pay it, and then also pay for whatever work they do. He recommended a "tune up" which included cleaning parts of the boiler. After he left, within a day or two, the boiler was not working again. I ended up calling a different company to have them fix the boiler, which they did for $200 labor and $85 for a part that needed replacement, they inspected the work of Standard, and had to redo part of it, and said Standard had not done a good job. I called Standard and asked for a partial refund, explaining everything. They refused to give me any kind of refund at all.

    Setting up an appointment was easy, they took detailed notes and the worker who came to my home had the notes ready and knew what to look at. The worker was also super chill about my very barky dogs. He was very professional and not pushy in the slightest to get any extra work done. He also gave me estimates on future work that will most likely be needed in 5-10 years, but reiterated that everything was working well right now and he saw nothing that would turn into a problem in the near future.
