    The woman that I spoke to on the phone was very polite.The tech (Cliff) showed up during the 4 hour window that was provided to me. Cliff was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem within minutes of arriving. He never tried to sell me something I didn't need. He also gave me some tips for proper maintenance to help get the most of of my air conditioner. Overall great experience. Would recommend!!

    I have been very impressed with Hutchison Mechanical for all my HVAC needs. Unfortunately, my furnace wasn’t working last night when I got home from New Year’s Eve. I called them this morning on the holiday and they sent Cliff who was promptly here within in half hour. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed the problem within a matter of minutes. He showed me exactly where the problem was. He replaced the igniter and the blower draft inducer motor. I have noticed the past few weeks that I could hear a wining noise when the heat kicked on. That isn’t what caused the igniter to go, but he said it would soon need to be replaced and he even had to manually spin it to get it moving. I didn’t want to have to have that work done at a later date, so he took care of both of them quickly and with skill. The truck he used was fully stocked with everything he needed to complete the job. It is now working great and quiet as ever. Glad to not be freezing any more! It was a little pricey, but considering it was the holiday I expected it to be a bit more. It’s almost always true, but you get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a little more and have the job done correctly by professionals than to trust some rinky-dink company that uses inferior parts and they don’t know what they’re doing. They are a great company and Cliff is amazing, a definite asset to Hutchison to have working for them. Highly recommend. If you want the best, give them a call. They haven’t failed me yet and they are very quick to fix your problem.

    Great service. Jason was here within 1/2 hour, and in less than an hour had my system running. Knew exactly what to look for. Not over priced, especially since it is a holiday. Will definitely be calling them for any issues. Thanks Jason!

    The only reason this is 2 stars and not 1 is because they did fix our A/C unit very quickly (same day). The low rating is because there was no mention of cost until all work was completed and for poor customer service. Hutchison installed our unit and it was about 3 summers old. Before doing any work, the tech said "they probably didn't charge it fully after install" - thus admitting it was their fault. After evaluating, he confirmed it was low on Puron. While they did not charge for the Puron itself, they did charge a $80 evaluation charge, plus 1/2 hour of service work, plus a new (very overpriced) filter. I was not asked if I wanted the new filter and actually had a new one sitting right next to the furnace (and the one in there was not dirty, but they took it with them so I can't prove that). Upon inquiring with the office about the charges, they said they would look into it and get back to me - and they did not.

    Sometimes it's not the work you do, but how you treat your customers that is more important. Thanks for getting our A/C back up and properly cooling our home, but your lack of good, honest and up-front communication and customer service will prevent us from ever calling you back. There are a ton of other better choices and these A/C units are all made by just a couple manufacturers with different brands on them, so even if a company doesn't have a logo on their website, they can likely still help.

    EDIT BASED ON RESPONSE from Hutchison:
    1. I'm sure it is policy to tell all customers about the $79 fee. I'm simply stating that in our particular case, we were not told. I assumed there would be a visit charge, but also assumed that would roll into the repair, especially since your tech admitted this was caused by your original techs not fully charging our system.

    2. My wife was never given the opportunity to refuse the filter. She was told after the fact "I went ahead and replaced your filter for you.". This occurred as the tech was showing her the bill. Was she supposed to tell him to remove it and put the old one back in? That's ridiculous.

    3. The filter on this unit is supposed to last 6+ months. The one that you claim was causing the issue was in there 3 months. We don't live on a dirt road or leave our windows open or have a dirty home, so I'm not sure how this thing was so dirty that quickly that it caused our condenser to completely freeze over.

    To top it off, your comment below is the same as the one you gave me on the phone (after I had to call you back) - if I have an issue I have to call you or Larry. That is not customer service. If you have an issue with how this repair was handled, you or Larry should care enough to call me. Be proactive next time, it will quickly diffuse any upset customer and turn them into a repeat customer. This is not a financial issue. I am not going to waste my time chasing down your management for $100. These reviews are to let you and others know about our experience. My words are direct quotes from your staff or truths about what happened. When you reply with contradictions instead of simply admitting your staff could have handled it better, you are supporting my (just one, just me) recommendation to try another service.

    Jason was very professional, articulate and he helped me to understand my HVAC system and how to maintain it. He worked quickly and inspected the overall system completely. I now understand how my zoned system works. If I wanted service again I would request Jason.

    Huchison Mechanical replaced our existing heating & air conditioning system with a Bryant Evolution system. The work is professional & high quality, & was completed in one day !! The system is quiet &
    works much better & more efficiently than the old one. We are very pleased with the system, & highly recommend these folks.

    Larry was very fair with us. He was very knowledgable and was able to tell us exactly what was wrong with our ac unit. Best of all for the easy fix I couldnt have asked for a better price! Only a few minutes and my home's ac unit was back in action.
