Doug is the best!!! My husband has used him for years to fix numerous furnaces, a/c units and hot water tanks in numerous buildings. He is VERY knowledgeable, affordable and most of all honest. We seldom have to wait as he goes the extra mile for his customers. We Highly recommend Alert Heating and Cooling.

Something from my air conditioner was leaking in my basement. I called this company to come and fix it. They requested an $80 deposit to come out and look at things first, then the money would go towards cost to fix it. They agreed to come back and fix it at a later date. I received a call a few days later saying that my air conditioning unit was "too old" and that they "didn't feel like taking the time to look for the older part to fix it." I asked for them to send me the diagnosis paperwork and half of my deposit back so I could take my business elsewhere. They said they were only tech's and couldn't make that decision and they would have someone call me. A week and a half went by and they never called me. I called them and told the receptionist what was going on and she said they'd call me as soon as possible. After another week went by, I called again and left another message with the receptionist. I still have not received a call back, and today I called and no answer. Do not go with this company, it is a complete scam. They will take your deposit and then refuse to do the work. It is completely unprofessional that they will not return my phone calls and at least give me an explanation, or give me the paperwork of what they discovered, so I can have another company fix it.

Heat went out so I called Alert. I wasn’t expecting to get the furnace repaired so quickly. Doug came out and replaced a bad blower motor promptly.

Very helpful! If they're busy, they have extended resources that are excellent! Which is super important when it's 90+ and the AC goes out. Excellent response time! Highly recommend.

We had a gas leak that caused DTE to turn off our services. Within 30 minutes of calling Alert Heating and Cooling we had 2 guys at our home ready and able to fix the issue within minutes of being on the job. Thank you guys so much for your help!
