Great Dane Heating & AC

My experience started off great from the first person I spoke with in the phone to schedule a technician to come out, to the technician (Nick) who came out to see what was happening and repair it. He explained everything he did and showed us the pictures he took. I will contact Great Dane again if I need service, or if we are in the market for a new system.

The technician Ryan was knowledgeable and friendly. He took time to explain what he was doing and made recommendations about services that actually saved me money. I am so excited to have them taking care of my home systems and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to find a new servicer. My whole family uses this company and now I do too. Thank you Great Dane 5 stars all the way!

Issues:
- Cancelled Appointment the day of, one hour into the time block for arrival. Made to reschedule and take more time off.
- Refused to do warranty work.
- May choose not to repair your system even though they diagnosed it.
- No military, senior discount or any discounts offered on New Systems (Inspection fee will only be deducted)
- Highest Quoted out of businesses I had out for new system estimates.
- Does not work on all brands of boiler manufactured.

In short:
- Warranties are not financially advantageous for them.
- I didn’t pay them for an inspection if I didn’t expect them to be able to fix anything they identified as wrong.
- I would have expected that they would have determined the age of the boiler (as part of the initial information they gathered) and known that it may be under a standard warranty (not have me figure it out after they quoted me $10k to $11k for a new boiler).

I’d NEVER, NEVER recommend them! Overpriced and Unprofessional Business Methods.

Nick was great! Punctual, friendly, fixed the problem and showed me how to do some maintenance to avoid further service calls. Seems like it's a well run company and they treat their employees well. When it comes time to replace this unit, I'll definitely call this company again.

Jeff from Great Dane did a great job on the service call and did awesome explaining everything that needed to happen with the repairs to get our old A/C unit working again.

Great Dane Technicians are personable, polite and courteous, not to mention very knowledgeable. From the Office staff, to repairs/parts/sales department, to the owner himself, whether on phone or in person, everyone at Great Dane are all very nice, tremendously helpful and eager to address whatever is needed. Excellent communication around scheduling and confirming appointments and just Top Notch service!

Our furnace went out recently. I called Consumers Energy, who sent out Great Dane to inspect our unit. I was skeptical at first, especially since it turned out that our heat exchanger was clogged and wasn't covered under our appliance service plan. But Great Dane was on time, courteous, and honest about the repairs. They set me up with financing, and the very next day, they installed a brand new furnace and ac unit. Now my family doesn't have to sleep under layers of heated blankets during the day. They also provided free space eaters to keep my family warm during the installation. Installing an HVAC system took a tremendous hit on my budget, to be fair, but the price I paid was a comparable estimate to other companies in the area, and the workers were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend Great Dane.

Mason gave us amazing, or "four paw" service! Easily diagnosed our issue with our A/C and had everything he needed to fix/assess the problem. Would reccomend Mason and Great Dane to anyone!

Dominic Orow was so very informative. Great workmanship, perfectionist . In fact any future work ever needed we will be requesting him. Nick was great. He was very personable and thorough looking for the issue. Once he found it, he cleaned it up and fixed it. Then he cleaned everything up to make the area look just like the way it was when he first arrived. Thanks for being honest. In this day and age it means a lot and goes a long way.
