Energy Monster

Good company and good work. 5 stars for all the workers for sure. They were all fantastic, especially Kyle and Edgar, very likeable and easy to talk to. We got our home insulated and had a mini split installed. Work was also done very well. Only reason for 4 stars was the scheduling. Our wall insulation was postponed because of rain and instead of being scheduled for the next sunny day they put us out over a week later. Not sure how that scheduling makes any sense but not too big a deal. Either way we're very happy with the end result and would definitely recommend energy monster especially if you can get into the home MVP program, great incentives.

Purchased Solar in 2020 from Energy Monster. They did an awesome job, price was competitive, install was super neat and the panels look great on the house. Sales reps were knowledgeable, and felt like I got the best value for the system I purchased. Highly recommend!!

Let me start off by saying that the actually energy audit that I had scheduled, went fine. Technician was nice and did his job. Although, I was promised a detailed report by the end of the same day, I did not receive one. I let about a week go by and tried to get a hold of someone at Energy Monster via their online email system. I receive a response but still no report. Just that a person would get in touch with me soon. Another week goes by and still no report or courtesy call. Again, I email them and I get response with the general managers information and that he would contact me. Never got a call or email from the manager. It's not until I threatened negative reviews that I finally get a call which I missed but promptly called back and left a message. Now it's the next day and I still haven't gotten a call back from the general manager. So I had enough and stuck by word and now writing their review. I would definitely, definitely, definitely, stay away from this company for any energy consultations or audits. It's just a very bad business. Their are plenty of other great companies out there that have better reviews and more experience in customer service. Very frustrated with this company. Do yourself a favor, go with another company and save yourself a headache.

Update (12-19-20): It’s been 2 years since this whole negative experience and I’m just finding out that this company missed and failed to complete and assess the whole energy audit. I have since had another energy assessment by a much better company and they showed me all the things that this company failed to do. For instance, they did seal simile air leaks in the basement or attic. They did insulate the first 6’ of hot water piping. I did not receive the light LED efficient light bulbs. This company was literally in my house for a total of 45 minutes. The new company I used recently were in my home for 3-4 hours sealing leaks and properly assessing energy deficiencies. Again, my experience with Energy Monster was abismal. Would not recommend. I can only hope they have improved for it's new clients and for the sake of their company.

Energy Monster performed our MassSave audit, MassSave insulation work (recommended by the audit), and a 10kW Solar installation all within a 3-month time period (Nov 2018-Jan 2019). All three projects went well and we are very happy with the quality of work and all of the employees that we've dealt with.

The Solar installation was very well executed with almost no exposed conduit, clean wiring, detailed system monitoring, and more attractive (and efficient) panels. We also had an EV charger installed as part of the package. I was able to work with their designer to balance aesthetics with efficiency and am quite happy with the results!

We are looking forward to saving lots of money on oil and electricity for years to come! After our first full month with our solar system, we already had a credit on our National Grid bill.

Dealing with EnergyMonster is one of those things you will look back on and think to yourself “wow that was way easier than I anticipated, we shouldve done that years ago!”

Courtney and the rest of the team are some of the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I send friends, family and clients to Courtney every opportunity I get!

Some of the Energy Monster team is clearly pulling more than their fair share. I had really positive interactions in the beginning (aka when I still could find another vendor) but once signed the installation team gave me a hard time about expectations their own colleagues had said, showed up on the initially planned day that they had actually cancelled and skipped doing some of the work. Maybe it’s just covid has a wrench in things, but that’s not an excuse after over a year in my book unless you work in hospital.

I recently had the pleasure of scheduling my home energy assessment with Energy Monster. I spoke with Courtney who was very knowledgeable about the services Energy Monster provides with the Mass Save program. From start to finish the process was very efficient and not stressful. I would highly recommend Energy Monster!

Great all around experience. Courtney, who I spoke with initially, answered all my questions about the Mass Save program (I had a lot). Nick, the auditor, was knowledgeable and efficient, making the whole process take about an hour. He installed LED lightbulbs throughout my entire house (I already have a few installed). I also got 2 smart power plugs, which I use for my computer and TV. My house was recently built with spray foam insulation and I already had a programmable thermostats & low flow shower heads. Regardless it was still well worth it to do for the light bulbs alone ($$$). I will also get a $50 rebate when I install a smart thermostat.

I Still can't believe how much I got in that 1 hour audit for free. If you haven't taken advantage of the Mass Save program yet, you need to, especially if you don't have insulation, LED lights, or have if you have drafty home.

Now it's time to watch my energy bill drop :)

EnergyMonster sent Jim out to my house for an energy assessment. I figured it'd be a quick look in the attic and at the bulbs. Jim proved me wrong on that one. He inspected almost every inch of my house looking for potential areas of improvement. His expertise with working in homes actually led him to telling me a few extra things about my house that I wasn't aware of. Super helpful, almost more so than the professional inspector we hired. I'm happy I went with EnergyMonster and lucky to have had Jim as my advisor.

My Husband and I have been interested in going solar for some time. We have done some research on what we were looking for and looked into a few different solar companies. In the end we wanted someone that is local and that will be around for more than a couple years unlike the bigger companies that seem to keep closing their doors. We had the priveledge on working with Kevin Markey. He is very knowledgeable, quick to respond and very attentive to what we were looking for. He sent over the proposal and met all of our requirements (my husband is very picky). The whole procces was very smooth. From the inital site visit to final inspections all that were involved were very professional, curteous, and made us feel safe during these questionalble times (covid). I would HIGHLY recomend Energy Monster to anyone thats looking for a company that will be there answering ALL your questions from start to finish.
