Simple Comfort

I had a great experience with Simple Comfort! Jeremy provided a prompt visit, within hours after I contacted him. He patiently explained my options to repair my broken HVAC system, including price differences and pros and cons of each option. There was no pressure to get a repair that I didn't need. Jeremy took the time to explain what was being done and why. Follow up communication was great and I always knew what next steps were. I highly recommend Simple Comfort!

Jeremy was excellent and I highly recommend him and Simple Comfort. Very reasonable service call fee, much less than my prior vendor. He is very knowledgeable and assessed the issues with my 2 hvac systems quickly and was very transparent, explaining what he was doing and answering all my questions. He fixed what was needed and advised me on how proceed with an older (R22) system that made financial sense. I very happy with the service.

At first glance, Jeremy from Simple Comfort seemed friendly and knowledgeable in his field, sadly that did not hold true in the end. He came to my home in August to do some AC maintenance on my 2 systems. He did fix one of the systems by adding about a pound of R22 to it, but he completely broke the second one. After stating that he would return the next day with additional hardware and equipment, he came back more than a week later. On his second visit, he still wasn't able to solve the problem (that he created), and rather than repair my AC, he offered numerous quotes to replace the entire HVAC system, stating that this would be more cost effective. He quoted me over $25,000 to replace just the system on the main floor of the house. This is after he had charged me $1,665 for the original service call where he broke my existing working system. I ended up shopping around for the same system from other larger HVAC companies, whose quotes all came in at the $14,000 to $16,000 range. One of these companies came over and actually fixed my existing system by undoing what Jeremy had done and removing the excess refrigerant Jeremy added, so now I don't need a new AC system. They are also wildly expensive, charging $294.77 per pound for R-22 (a roughly 1,000% markup!), they would not even consider a refund at all despite knowing that they were responsible for breaking my AC system. I would not recommend this company.

After my tenant noticed that my HVAC system was only blowing fan air during a heat wave, I was franticly searching for someone to service my system. He had originally come out to service another system in my building and the owner had recommended this business. He was able to fit me in on super short notice, just hours before my appointment. He was early and could tell that my system was not performing well just from observation. He had quickly identified my issue and informed me of the fix and the associated costs. He made sure that I understood the issue and required my approval before doing any work.

After fixing my problem, he answered any and every question that I had regarding HVAC systems and my set-up. After seeing how honest, fair, and stand-up this business was, I elected into their yearly maintenance plan. I was looking to support a local business and am happy to know the face behind the business. I would recommend their service to anyone in the Greater Boston area.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I had a A list of repairs I needed done on my properties including a furnace and AC that was not working. They were very responsive, got the work done quickly and communicated openly with me and my tenants, their prices are very fair, they give you options, they show up on time, and are extremely professional. I have more work to be done and they are my go to for all of it. Excellent company!

it looks like Jeremy as pretty knowledgeable person, but he is a very expensive. He offer $500 for regular maintenance
