I have had the opportunity to work with a number of local HVAC vendors. Recently I had to have my furnace replaced due to a leaky secondary heat exchanger. I received several bids. One bid was from a very well known vendor. Their price was literally 3X what B.C.S. said the replacement would cost. I chose B.C.S and in retrospect I am extremely happy I did. One week after the installation I was having a problem with my Smart thermostat losing power in the middle of a heat cycle and then shutting down the furnace. Once B.C.S. understood my concern they immediately went to work fixing the problem. One of their expert troubleshooters was able to determine the problem was the result of the manufacturer shipping a product with a higher than normal gas pressure setting. High gas pressure led to higher than normal heat which led to a trip in the thermal protection which then shut down the unit. I am very pleased with Better Comfort's presales and post sales support and would highly recommend doing business with them.

I have been a customer of Better Comfort Systems since they started
their business. I knew the owner, Jimmy, from his former employment as a HVAC technician. He designed and serviced all the ACs in my manufacturing plant. I have performed service, each spring, on my three central units and one Mitsubishi split unit. I am a believer in preventative maintenance. It has paid off as Better Comfort Systems kept a GE central unit going for an unheard of 40 years. Their personnel are very cordial and well versed in their trade. I have called them in the middle of a heat wave, telling them it is not an emergency, and a technician will show up the same day. They are the best.

As a design engineer, we had Better Comfort on many projects over the years with great satisfaction, so starting about 10 years ago I have used them for my primary home, vacation home in Cape as well as investment properties. They are excellent value, excellent workmanship, timely, and outstanding follow up service.

My name is Jimmy Schiavone. I am the PROUD owner of this 37 yo Service Company.
It hurts when somebody, typically nameless, sends out bad things about you. Especially when we try hard to do the right thing for our customers and employees. Worse? Not being able to either defend yourself or to explain. And, starting a p---sing contest is no solution. It only detracts from the issue. When hired, an offer sheet is written up. Promises made by both parties are listed. Financial offering is placed, Job description is noted. These words are CLEARLY spelled out: "Please note: If anything has been said, promised or stated during your interview upon which a decision has been made for employment @ Better Comfort, it must be recorded above. If it is not recorded above, It did not happen!"
To those unhappy customers: If we did do something unprofessional, it would have been better to have called. We cannot make right what we do not know was done wrong. Airing your gripe here? How does that help fix the problem?

Better Comfort Systems was contracted to perform a simple maintenance task on each HVAC unit in my apartment building, something that would take no more than 15 minutes per unit. They made a simple mistake with the whole job, leaving several residents without heat or hot water.
Instead of stepping up to rectify the issue, BCS blamed residents for the issues with their HVAC units, leaving us in the cold (literally) for two days while our building's management pleaded with them to fix their mistakes.

Seriously they charged me $515 for two hours work. They sent me a brand new technician on a service call he spent all his time with his survivors on the phone I get it we all start new jobs and there is a learning curve on all jobs but too send someone out to your house with no experience and without a surpivisor disgusting. Sent him away already have a new company coming to my house on thursday. .
