It was a 35 minute wait for two breakfast plates at 1:00. An egg sandwich and hash and eggs. The place was half full with 3 tables not yet served when we arrived. For a $10.00 plate I would of expected more food.Hash was dry and eggs were very small and only come poached. The sun blinds you at the tables since there are no shades on the windows. Our waitress was pleasant

We waited an hour for our food but it was WELL worth the wait. The pork belly benedict was fantastic and the home fries(chips) and home made and crispy. Everything here is farm to table. If you are in the area I highly suggest stopping in as long as you're not in a rush.

I love the food and I realize that they cook from scratch but nothing on that menu needs an hour to cook. I understand they might have more orders but it doesn't take an hour to cook a poached egg and a turkey Pattie. The waitress dropped coffee on the table and on my friend and never even tried to clean it up. I waited 45 minutes for my check and maybe if they didn't be so incompetent their wait times would be less.i work in food service as well and maybe the owner will talk about microwaves and getting fresh ingridigents but honestly I don't think that the chicken had to lay my egg for them to cook. Honestly get more cooks, get better waitresses and maybe you'll have return customers because honestly customer 101 is not making the customer feel invalid. Honestly I've been their multiple times trying to give them more chances but I'm done with you all

I had high hopes for this relatively new North Amherst restaurant, but was seriously disappointed.

Arrived on the early side for a Saturday morning (9am) and it was busy, but there wasn't a crazy line out the door. Seated within ten minutes and ordered promptly. Then began close to an hour wait for a very mediocre portion of a tofu scramble and egg sandwich. The staff was very unfazed by the situation and did nothing to make up for the long wait. I've been in other local (better) establishments where this has occurred and the staff have at least apologized or comped drinks, appetizer etc. It seems like Brian Knox (former Sous Chef at Lone Wolf) needs to step up his game with his staff and making sure people are leaving B&B and wanting to return.

If you really want to support North Amherst...hit up Atkins North for some donuts and local chocolate milk, which you can enjoy outside on a nice spring day.

Tried to keep it traditional with the ham n cheese omelette...... It was far from basic. Absolutely amazing!! Best tasting ingredients for breakfast food currently in existence. Followed the advice of my server, Jake.. Great advice, great service, friendly staff.

My father loves this place and brought me there after telling me how wonderful it was. I didn't think it lived up to the hype. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was fine, the menu looked appealing, but the food was bland and underwhelming. I'd go back if someone else wanted to, but otherwise, it gets a big "meh" from me.

First time visiting: food was pleasant and service was inviting and personal. Only issue was music choice. Some songs were heavy and dense; one with many unpleasant words. Overall a nice experience, and if the music changes, I would be a regular customer.

Boom! Bread & Butter! Great food, great atmosphere, coffee, conversation, all of it. Love this place, I just wish I lived closer so I could go all the time. There can be a bit of a wait on the weekends when school is in session, so plan accordingly!

Hard to imagine any worse service.
A prior reviewer’s Gandhi quote is very fitting. All 5 servers appeared inconvenienced, if not bothered, by the customers’ presence. It was difficult to establish eye contact with any server, even while sitting at the counter and with repeated opportunity to do so with most of them. After a long patient wait, it took some active waving down of someone to get any attention at all. With empty water glasses and coffee cups among the tables we could see, the servers occupied themselves by checking their phones, talking to friends, and appearing to stare straight past our attempts to get their attention. When we finally interrupted one of the servers talking to his friend at the counter and asked him to check on our order in the kitchen, the response was an eye roll and “yeah….” and a slow walk into the kitchen. (This was the same guy that gave the counter a wipe with his bare forearm to clear the debris, leaving the sticky spots, before we sat down.) When the food finally arrived, the eggs & potatoes were just warm and the toast was cold, but otherwise the quality was fine. The only proactive ‘service' received was we were asked if we wanted our bill, before we were even halfway done eating. The poor and dysfunctional lack of service began during the wait to be seated, when 5 parties of two to four people stood waiting near the door while there were at least 3 empty tables and 6 open seats at the counter (plus the open counter seats along the window). Our fellow visitors marveled at the dysfunction, as several newcomers turned around at the sight of the (frustrating, if not unnecessary) line. In all, an hour and half for a basic breakfast and unpleasant experience. Oh, the coffee was fine.
In summary, Bread & Butter appears to lack adult supervision or any desire to satisfy its customers.

Worth the price - had the maple pork belly with eggs and it was amazing! Good environment for grabbing a nice brunch with friends - just make sure to plan for a possible wait.
