This is an awesome breakfast place! I love the industrial styling. The pork belly benny and cappuccino were both on point. However, the best part was our wonderful waitress Becca! She greeted us with a smile and was very attentive and nice. I'll definitely be returning in the future.

Warm aesthetic, friendly customer service, and delicious food. Definitely a solid brunch spot in Amherst.

Very nice looking place and the food is pretty decent, but always consistently extremely sloooooooooooow. Never managed to get brunch in less than 30 min. from ordering to getting the food, so prepare for a massive wait. Other similar places in the area are much faster.

Stopped by for a quick bite this morning, and was very impressed. Food is fresh and truly made to order. I did not mind the wait at all. It was delicious! Portions were a little small. Home fries are actually spiced potatoes (potato chip shape) that are fried. Very good. I got about 7 home fries with a meaty sandwich- bacon, egg, cheese, arugula on English muffin. Total with tax was $6.91. Worth every penny. So good!

Always enjoy the food. Never enjoy the wait. Waiting for a table is fine, but waiting more than an hour for food (from ordering to receiving food) is crazy. Waitstaff and hosts stand around waiting for an extraordinarily slow kitchen. Great concept; poorly managed.
Restaurants in most other towns/cities manage their kitchens and can serve high quality food without such a problem. Perhaps the owners could learn from them.

Albeit the food is deliciously local and well crafted, it is nowhere near worth the wait and endurance of the terrible service received at this establishment. People around us were served prior to us, although my party of 4 were seated well before them. The staff did not bring us silverware or water until asked - that is basic things every table should be served. The staff is neglectful, slow, and inattentive. I want to like this place based on the wide variety of offers for all different dietary needs, however the long wait times and service really puts a dent in my day. Forget this place!

Really disappointing meal today.
I enjoyed the meals I had at Bread and Butter in the past but today I had an especially dispointing experience.
My husband and I arrived at 12:20 for breakfast/brunch. The restaurant was busy so we waited a few minutes before being seated. When seated, I ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon & cheese on toast), and my husband ordered scrambled eggs, sausage & toast.
After 30 minutes, we hadn't received our meals. I counted 42 customers and 5 employees ( & presumably others in the kitchen). After another few minutes, customers seated well after our arrival began to receive their food. We still waited. After another 5 minutes, my husband complained. Our waitress was sweet and apologetic but it took nearly another 10 minutes to receive our food. 45-50 minutes to receive eggs and toast is totally unacceptable!
When the food arrived, we were disappointed further. I had ordered salad greens in place of home fries, but I received potatoes - no greens. I didn't dare complain, for fear my breakfast would be delayed further. In past visits I was impressed with the quality of the bread used at Bread and Butter. Today the toast was made from ordinary bread that seemed stale. The bacon on my breakfast sandwich was burned. My sandwich was supposed to contain cheese, but it was missing.
Overall, our experience was very poor. We don't be back. It's too bad.....

Menu was promising but food was mediocre. Wait staff was friendly but not very attentive; we didn't get forks until about 15 minutes after our meal was served and had a very hard time attracting the waitress's attention to get them. Nice location.

Service was terrible. It was almost as though we were invisible. The food is decent and coffee is good, but the wait staff is all college age personal, with absolutely NO social skills at all!!!!....Refills.....what is that?! Once they sit you , they do not even acknowledge you...so sip that delightful coffee SLOW...because you will be lucky to get another!!! My advice to the owner is to hire people that are mature , responsible with manors and who want to work.

I enjoy going there because I like their eggs florentine, but the place always seems badly run. The wait for the food is very long, the servers frequently forget to refill the coffee, and there always seems to be a lot of confusion and disarray. Either they need to hire more staff or limit the number of seating to the amount of meals they can actually make. In addition, occasionally the chef decides that he doesn't want to make lunches, and so refuses to serve anything but breakfast. This seems super unprofessional, and definitely turns off prospective customers.
