We have used Air Doctor twice now. The first time was through our home warranty because our AC was out. Derek came out quickly and resolved the issue. He was very knowledgeable and gave us helpful info on our system. We were so impressed that we called them again to come out for basic maintenance on our heating system. We took advantage of a sale and paid for both heating and AC maintenance at once. We had a different technician this time (Keith). He was great and very knowledgeable too! Serviced the system and taught us how to do some VERY basic stuff ourselves to help maintain efficiency of the system. Hopefully our home warranty will send us to them the next time it breaks down! Overall, I would have no hesitancy recommending Air Doctor to others!

I had an excellent experience with this company. My gas furnace stopped working Monday night, and AHC assigned it to Air Doctor. I was not able to leave a voicemail on company’s phone until 9:00. However by 9:30 I got calls both from Vanessa as well as Derek. Given my prior experience with other companies when working through AHC, I was more than surprised that they were able to send a technician over the same say. I was given the usual 12 - 4 window, but I got a notification that technician is on his way by 12:10. Keith arrived at 12:30, and within seconds he was able to identify the issue and to tell me that unfortunately they will need to order a part, which may take few days. I got a call from Derek the next day that the part should be arriving tomorrow, and while he cannot guarantee that delivery, he would put me on schedule for the very next day, Friday. Today, Keith called me just after 10:00 and arrived at around 10:30 in my house, and installed the replacement part. Frankly, based on my prior experiences with other companies, I was surprised that this was the right part on the first try and that the diagnostic was correct and the issue was solved. As I am writing this review, nine or so hours after Keith’s visit, I am surprised that I still have heat. I will update this review if the heat goes off :), but at least for now - outstanding job by Air Doctor. They have exceeded my expectations and at least partially restore my trust in companies employed by home warranty. Thank you!

Air Doctor Mechanical gave me an appointment to repair my AC between 8-12 on a Thursday. I received a call from them at 11:40 to say they will not be coming due to rain. I asked why didn't they call earlier because now I have taken off work for no reason. The associate, Vanessa instantly gets an attitude and say we can't come out because it's raining. I stated well you should have called earlier to let me know that you can't come if it is raining. She states I said we were waiting to see if the rain stops. I said again you should have called earlier and I could have rescheduled and gone to work because the forecast had stated rain all day.

So she rescheduled for that Sat. The mechanic, Keith came in with an arrogant attitude from the beginning of his visit. I was pleasant with him because I needed my AC fixed. It was extremely hot inside my house. He still had an attitude the entire visit. I asked what's the problem with the ac. He said the coil and other stuff and said I will hear from them soon. A week passes and I hadn't heard anything from them. I call them and they say they are researching whatever that means.

I immediately cancelled the job because I felt they were very unprofessional with their attitude and not keeping me informed of the status. I never received an invoice or anything stating the issue with the AC. I will not be using this company every again.

Nice guy and I found to be extremely knowledgeable about his trade. He came to my house twice to address my two units. The first time he got the first unit gong but it stopped after 10 minutes. It was decided it needed another compressor. He came back a few days later and replaced the compressor but same result. It stopped after 10 minutes. The second unit was never looked at. I am still without air conditioning after a week and a half. He has not been able to come back out because I do think he is good and in high demand. I have had to schedule with another service provider who can not come until next late next week. So far , I'm out $450 for freon that I'm certain was needed, but still no AC. As a business owner myself, don't think I should have had to go back to the end of the line if my issues were not straightened out as scheduled- at least with one of the units. A house full of people while social distancing and no AC is not my idea of a swell time. Hot and not happy. Though as I said - found him to be of professional demeanor and more than qualified at his trade. Just didnt work out for me, though I'm sure it probably has for others.

My A/C went out last Saturday during an extreme heatwave . I contacted AHS and they assigned me to The Air Doctor. I immediately Googled the company and was apprehensive after reading the reviews and was seriously considering asking to be assigned to another company, but, I decided to give them a chance. I contacted the Air Doctor early Monday morning , the customer service rep was very nice and professional and I was extremely grateful that they could schedule me an appointment for Tuesday, from 8-12 as I know this is an extremely busy time for them. I took off from work and Keith, the technician arrived around 10. Keith was very professional, knowledgeable and gave me some great advice. Keith has my A/C unit running like new. I highly recommend the Air Doctor and their technician, Keith. 5 Stars!!!

This company was contracted to me through American Home Shield (AHS). They were a no show on a recall appointment scheduled for the morning of July 13 provided to me by one of their technician following a service request June 30.

Bottomline, I’m not going to provide all the detail surrounding the issues I’ve had with this company (AHS contractor) regarding diagnosis and stating verbally that I needed a new system but never providing a write up to AHS. Lastly, Let’s not even go into the challenge of making an appointment. Please note, I took the time to rate as objectively as I could because I have had far superior responsiveness, company availability during and after hours, and service from other HVAC companies.

As a fact, for a second opinion of Air Doctor’s diagnosis, I paid for another company to come out and diagnose during the same window of time.

Please note, My issue is not with this companies diagnosis, it’s is with this companies responsiveness, scheduling, technician calling me directly and not coordinating with his dispatcher before contacting me, ability to reach a person during business hours, and company not writing up recommendation to replace unit and submitting to AHS as I was told by technician.

I was referred to this company through my home warranty. Though they were not able to fix my heat pump system they did a great job of communicating with me and helped advise me as my warranty company was giving me the run around, and my claim had gone on for months. I would recommended this company to others and would use them again myself. I truly appreciated their efforts and they made me feel like someone cared about my situation.

I called the Air Doctor to service my A/C unit on the same day it stop working. As you know in the DC area we have been experiencing 90 degrees temperatures which were unparalleled to normal. The Air Doctor arrived at my residence and repaired my unit within an exception time-line which allowed me to conduct other matters of my personal business. Thank you Air Doctor for your prompt service, professionalism & care.

This company was sent to my home through American Home Shield, my home warranty. I will admit that prior to the company being assigned and coming out to my home I did utilize a private HVAC company to inspect my furnace and was told I needed a new furnace, which is why I contacted AHS. When Air Doctor Mechanical initially came out, they were unable to do a proper inspection because of the work that my private HVAC company did. Therefore, I had my private company come back out to rectify what needed to be rectified for the tech with Air Doctor to make a proper diagnosis. They did come back out and the diagnosis given was opposite of what my private company informed me was the issue. Air Doctor gave me a quote for the diagnosis, which was a clogged exhaust pipe and shared that the replacement would not be covered under warranty. They also shared if I wanted them to replace the pipe, they would not be able to return until next Tuesday. The tech then told me that I could try to contact my private company back to get them to try to unclog the pipe. I took the tech's advice because at this point I have been without heat since Saturday. My private company came out to unclog the pipe, nothing came out of the pipe. The also inspected my furnace again and noticed it was producing fumes, and detected carbon monoxide. These were the same fumes that were previously detected and the information was shared with Air Doctor. Because the fumes were present again, I was informed to call the gas company. I did that, which also resulted in the fire department having to come out. The fire department and gas company both confirmed levels of carbon monoxide in my home. Due to this the gas company has condemned my furnace. I know this review is very long, but I want to share my experience with Air Doctor because I found them to not be thorough and in speaking with the home warranty company to get a furnace, I was informed that Air Doctor never submitted a diagnosis for them to do any type of replacement. To make matters worse, the company was not responsive when the home warranty tried to call to get a diagnosis. Anyone considering using this company, please beware.

The office associate is thoughtful and accommodating. We were on a waiting list when our a/c went out in 100 degree weather. She kept us updated in our wait status and we were able to be serviced in 48 hours instead of one week ( per the online scheduling).
