When my ac went out 2 years ago I called Cook because that's who my grandparents always called. They had a new system in place within 48 hours. When I call for service they are quick to arrive and thorough in their inspection. Their techs are knowledgeable, respectful and kind. They take the time to answer all your questions. You don't have to worry about anything when you work with this company.
They were bought out in 2008 by an outfit with 40 years of experience. My experience follows this buyout. I will continue to use Cooks to insure safe operating heating and cooling at my house in the years to come.

You won't meet people any nicer. I'm a truck 🚚 driver and I meet many people. Kansas has some of the finest. True and honest Americans.

I am disappointed in the customer service I received from Cooks.. the office support staff were unprofessional. We waited three weeks for our unit to be serviced only to find out that the part they knew we needed from the previous summer did not get ordered but we were charged 95 for them to come out and do nothing... I will say the maintenance worker was professional but there seemed to be miscommunication between the maintenance workers and office workers.

The technician was nice, clean and knew his job. Got to work right away, without any issues.

I watched your tech purposely release refrigerant in the air numerous times and it wasn't him purging his line because I have a Universal EPA license. Therefore I have a duty as a technician and a human to report it to the EPA, which I have. I am letting you know because I know that you are a good company and should not be punished for one man's action. Thank you.

Had a new York system installed in August 9months later my AC system had to be recharged so it leaked over the winter immediately after installation. Incompetent tech did not check whole system for leaks. Had to call them out again 3 more times over 3 years. After labor warranty expired they sent a more experienced tech ( they claimed previous techs may have missed the leak) of course all this is denied and excuses made. The evap coil was leaking common manufacturing issue with York. Was told it would be $500 labor and refrigerant. Pretty cool way to avoid loss by stringing along customer till you can charge for replacing a mistake that was made at installation. . Cooks should change name to crooks. Liars. Avoid them.

I testing the duct work in a new home today. Cooks finished the job last Friday. This is an important step in Wichita, because there is no code requirement for insulation or other energy efficiency.
This test did fantastic. The National Professional Standard is < 6% leakage. This job was < 5%. The duct work was installed well. To many times I find it kinked or looped and wasted, plus the increased flow losses.
It is nice to see quality work.

Cooks Heating and Air has done an amazing job with my properties and my clients properties! I specifically work with Wayne Rau there and would recommend everyone talking to him especially if they need a new system!!!!!

Based off the way the people in your company trucks drive I would never hire or recommend you. I see them speeding, riding people's bumpers, swerving in and out of traffic just to be the first at a stop light on west street or the first person in Mcdonald's drive thru! NOT a good look for your company!
