I called Melo Air to have my AC condenser clean and the unit checked. At a minimum, I expected them to clean the inside of the condenser (vacuum, remove debris) and clean the coils with a cleaning solution. Those two things in themselves take less than 30-40 minutes. The technician came, checked our unit, advised we get a different air filter, but the AC unit was never cleaned. I was only around for the beginning of the appointment, so I was not able to inspect the work at the end. I came home later that day expecting to find a clean AC unit. Unfortunately, there was still all of the debris still in the unit, and the coils were still caked with dust. Clearly, it was not cleaned AT ALL. I called Melo back, assuming this was just a miscommunication. They technician came back a couple days later. Again, I was unable to stay the entire visit. I came home that day to find ALL of the debris at the bottom of the unit, and the coils clearly had not been cleaned at all. For $130, Melo came out and checked to see if my unit worked (which is does) and advise a different brand of air filter. They never cleaned it, or if they did, the quality was very poor. Now that we've coordinated two visits with disappointing results, I decided to clean the coils myself. A simple cleaning solution from Home Depot and a shop vac got the job done. It took 45 minutes. Very disappointed I paid for service and ended up having to do the job myself. It was clearly communicated I wanted the coils and condenser cleaned, and this was clearly not done.

I wonderful team to work with - when our 28 y/o old furnace broke down in the middle of sub zero temps, they were quick to respond and give hints to stay warm until a new furnace could be installed after the weekend. They were prompt and thorough and explained everything and made it clear about the next steps. A great family run business that deserves credit and takes pride in its work.

Mel-o-Air replaced my air conditioning unit. From office staff to installer, everyone was polite, considerate, & helpful in explaining all of the details. They even assisted in offering manufacturers' rebates and financing. Five stars for me!

My heat went out in the middle of the night. Their 24 hour on call called me back right away and helped me troubleshoot the problem. Although unsuccessful, they called me back first thing in the morning to check and were at my house by 8am. They folks here were courteous, prompt, fair, friendly and knowledgeable! We needed a new furnace and they were ready to start installing by 11am. I had heat by 3pm! Amazing place!

Mel-o-air is fast and efficient and easy to deal with salesman and installers. Carrier products are well made. These guys go the extra mile and helped correct problems from previous installations. The little things made the difference. I would recommend them to everyone.

Meh. There has to be more efficient and less expensive options. About a year ago they installed new equipment when we did a remodel so I figured it was best to have them look at this. Recently the humidifier stopped working. I was told it was free replacement parts under warranty but labor was not included. Looking online at a lot of sites, home owners replaced the parts in 30 minutes and they billed me 2 hours of time. They charge $150 and hour plus a trip charge! The price for repair was more than half of what it would be to buy a new unit. I'll go back to the firm that worked on my old furnace.....

Prompt and exceptionally courteous service, a range of options for furnace and a/c repair, and/or replacement carefully evaluated and presented, and installers for entirely new system were extremely professional and agreeable to deal with. Furthermore, the office communications and paperwork, with everything completed for warranties and rebates, all carried out with friendliness and notable efficiency. Highly recommend.

Mel-O-Air has been nothing but helpful! They are great with their customer service and even helped me through some troublshooting tips over the phone before they asked if we wanted them to came out!! I was lucky enough to get it fixed over the phone but will definitely be using their services in the future! Their prices were even comparable from calling around! Best company in town! Friendly, fast courteous scheduling, prompt arrival and diagnosis. John listened while I explained the issue, posed some possible reasons for the problem and went right to work. The issue was solved quickly and I was thrilled that it was straight forward and uncomplicated. I am extremely pleased with Mel-O- Air and really like that it is family owned business. it is local (Wheaton) and they have been in business for quite awhile. Thank you!
