First of all, prices are what they are. If company A charges more than company B, company A is NOT “ripping you off.” That’s just plain infantile thinking.

That said, we don’t have a problem with this company’s prices. We have never had a problem with rudeness. And the one time we needed emergency service, a tech was at our house first thing in the morning, and all it needed was a minor repair. Five stars.

Great service! Technician took time to explain all issues. Really knew all aspects of the complexities of the furnance. Would definitely recommend this family business for all your heating and cooling service or install needs.

I called on a Sunday with a furnace problem. I had a part in the mail, but wasn't sure I could wait for Fedex to decide to deliver it. They had an answering service; I gave my number and the Oelerich technician called me back shortly afterward. He actually seemed to listen to the detials about my problem, which got a bit lengthy. He suggested a range of things that might be wrong, gave me options for what I could do without paying for them to come out, and estimated prices for various things that might fix it. I felt he was very upfront about the cost. It wasn't cheap, but it was less than the other two places I called (in my experience everyone charges for a service call no matter what). It felt like he actually wanted to help; I previously had the same problem and used a different company that wouldn't say anything about the problem until paid for a service call. Anyway, my part arrived and I put it in. The problem has disappeared for now, and I'll call Oelerich when it comes back.

Air conditioner stopped working. Outside unit fan stopped. Did some searching on youtube and found the condensor had burnt out. Did not want to pay $200 for a HVAC technician to replace so called around to buy a condensor. Granger quoted $97. A few shops quoted $80. My own HVAC person quoted $100.
Called Oelerich and they sold me the part for $50! Excellent attitude, fair price.

New to the area and 1st time using them. This was begining of summer. Guy on the phone was extremely helpful and walked me through things to check. Got me to the point it was no longer an emergency. We have a infant and he totally understood the situation. It was a busy day for them I know and there the only ones that took the time to do this without quick qulifiying me and dismissing as 3 other local places did prior. Then Mike the tech was professional, on time, honest and very thorough with not only the service but also explaining the service. Thought is was going to cost a lot more then it did. Overall very pleased with there service and will be using them again. Only regret was that I did not call them 1st and waisted my time calling around. We are new to IL and really had no clue who to use. My wife and baby boy were able to not be inconvieanced in any way as a result of there efforts. I strongly recommend them.

I am a general contractor and was looking for a new company to install a complete HVAC system. While speaking with one of their sales reps he totally discouraged me from using his company. He said they were going to be higher in price than others. He then was somewhat trash talking other companies and saying nobody else is as good or has the service that they do. When I told him I guess I would look for another contractor since it seemed as if thats what he wanted, his response was " and I'm fine with that". I called hoping to find someone who was eager for my business. What I got was someone who acted as if he didnt know why I was calling and didnt care about my business. It was a strange, frustrating and confusing conversation which I have never experienced before with any other company. I will keep looking for someone I can work with.

I have always found this firm competitive and very responsive. The quality of the work is excellent. They have installed a new AC, furnace and humidifier for me over the years as well as perform routine maintenance.

Posted hours for this business are 8 am to 5 pm. I called between 4 and 4:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon to set up an appointment for them to come check on my HVAC unit which was not cooling the house. I had replaced the filter, cleared vegetation from around the outside unit and left it off overnight. When it warmed up outside in the afternoon, the house did not stay cool. The person who answered the phone was rude about me calling late in the day, lectured me about trouble shooting the unit, and insisted that I had to trouble shoot it again before he would schedule an appointment. I have had difficulty with extended waiting times for appointments in the past so I asked if that would be a problem if I waited, and was told it would not be. When I called on Monday to set up an appointment when I could arrange to be home it was a problem and they were not apologetic for the way I was treated on Thursday. I call a competitor who will be here the same afternoon and listened when I told him what I had already tried.

I have been using Oelerich heating and cooling since we moved here 5 years ago. I have always found their personnel very prompt courteous and professional.

I had a really great experience. I have been a customer of this company for over 30 years. They treat their customers like family. I trust them and have always been totally satisfied. I can’t say anything but great things about Them!!
