I am both in disbelief and extremely dissatisfied with the service we received from Oelerich. Back in July our A/C stopped blowing cool air and we called Oelerich to come out and repair. They gave us the option of recharging the 15 year old unit or replacing the unit at an up charge. We were charged $857 to recharge the unit and replace the Freon. Just 6 weeks later the same problem occurred, our A/C unit stopped blowing cool air meaning the original problem was never solved. I called out another HV-AC company for a second opinion and they were SHOCKED at how much we were charged for the service and that Oelerich would even recommend recharging a unit that old. In their words, it was putting a bandaid on bigger problem and any HV-AC technician would know that.

I called Oelerich to discuss the situation and spoke to the owner himself. He surmised that our system was “flat” and he guessed that ~8-10 lbs of refrigerant was used to restore the unit to “factory specification”. When I told him that multiple sources told me that $857 to recharge a unit was astronomical and unnecessary, he explained that that is their flat price which could account for up to 12 hrs of labor. He gave me a quote for a new A/C unit and furnace that was still over $2,500 more than what the other company quoted me even with an additional $200 discount. Needless to say I am very disappointed by the service and the way the situation was handled.

They were supposed to have serviced and cleaned my HVAC system as a part of my purchase of this property. They didn’t even change the filter in the furnace. HVAC 101. The AC had only 50% refrigerant. When my pipes iced up I was told to get a new thermostat all the while being spoken to rudely. They were also supposed to take care of a percolating water heater. They said that it was operating normally. A percolating water heater is not normal. I will never again use them.

We have used Oelerich for 26 years! They have never let us down! Their service men are so professional, knowledgeable, polite and friendly!! They stand by their work and offer excellent prices! We will never use anyone else! They truly are the best!

Oelerich HVAC has been my service company for many years. What I
really like about them is they do not have a high turnover of employees and I have the same technicians consistently which has built a trust
over the years. I had a new Trane system installed recently and I am so happy with the installation and good service Oelerich provides.

Call to make an appointment for a diagnosis on my heater on July 2.
A technician came and took 3 minutes.
My concern is that replacing a heater is very expensive and in addition to the inconvenience it had in winter, it lasted several days without heating.
I told the technician that 2 people had come to check my heating and I do not know that one had changed a part and it was not working anymore ...
He opened the gas tap and it effectively worked.
I asked him if that was it?
I needed to be sure that it worked perfectly. Didn't check anything else, didn't take the time to look at what I know about something electric, circuits, because the gas was closed?
Is it because I have an accent?
I asked him, is everything ready? his answer was yes!
I asked him and for 3 minutes and open the gas tap You are going to charge $ 89 already?
He answered me, yes.

I immediately called the office and spoke to the person who answered, woman, and I told her about my concerns.
She confirmed that for the 3 minutes that the technician was here, the service was charged! (I understand but the technician did not check anything else).
I have tried turning on the heating and testing if it works or not or if it will stop working as before.
I gas the area where my heating is and I fear that there is a fire or something similar.
Tell me what I have to do, please? Who do I accuse in case of a fire?
Do I have to call Comed to come and check the gas, or do I have to call another technician?

One after another estimate from various companies for a new furnace, I decided to go with Orlerich HVAC, they very straight forward and honest, Nick came and did the installation. his work was neat and professional I would strongly recommend this company A +

Everyone who has helped me with my furnance and airconditioner have been professional, respectful of my home and accommodating to my available time. The owner was out several times during each installation. In other experiences with other companies, I have not always had this high quality service.

Nick was very polite and considerate, he answered all my questions, was careful with my floors and was very pleasant. The Trane furnace I replaced was installed 21 years ago by Oelerich and maintained by them. They will be maintaining bith the new Trane furnace and the vew Trane air conditioner they installed, thank you Nick & Jerry.

They install a furnace with Air conditioning at my daughters house. I was so pleased with the installation that I installed the same unit at my house. Both Mr. Oelrich and crew were very professional. Highly recommended.

My heat went out and they came right out and left me portable heaters till they could install the new furnace. Very prompt and very responsive and they did an incredible job. Thank you again and I would highly recommend Oelerich HVAC to everyone.
