Aaron & Trecker

We just had a Unico system put in our 1920's bungalow and I can't say enough good things about Aaron & Trecker. From the Patrick's initial visit to the walk through with Neil to the installation by Dan, Aaron and Jim, everyone was courteous, professional, and skilled. We would enthusiastically recommend them!

Greg, the technician was polite, wore a mask, maintained appropriate social distancing, was extremely informative re: his observations about my AC/FURNACE, made recommendations about how to configure daily operations to get better circulation of cold air upstairs in my older house, talked about the potential issues he found with my old thermostat wiring and when asked, knowledgeably discussed the value to be gained by going to a NEST style Thermostat. I would heartily recommend this organization to anyone looking for reliable, professional service. I also purchased the AC/FURNACE units from this same orgsnization a little over 3 years ago.

I have been using Aaron and Trecker for over 25 years. They are honest and very trustworthy. You can always count on them to do a wonderful job.

after having a different company give me a 4 hour window and waiting all day for them to show up to tell me I would need to reschedule due to needing a different tech, I contacted Aaron and trecker. They were able to give me an exact apt time. They showed up on time were very friendly and courteous. I couldn't be happier. I will continue to use Aaron and trecker for all of my HVAC needs.

It's kind of sad to write this, because I did business with Aaron & Trecker for a decade (HVAC service) and was always pretty happy with them. Timely, professional, and helpful.

But the last bit of service I had blew my mind. HVAC is their wheelhouse, but I had them out to replace a bad gas fitting (which they had actually put on years ago). They charged me $274 to spend 45 minutes replacing a $65 part (so they claim, who knows the actual cost).

On the itemized invoice was 3/4 hours of work at $140 per hour. And, as if that weren't already insane, there was a $69 fee for the call, and a $35 "diagnostic fee." So, apparently, that $140 per hour covers neither coming on site nor doing diagnostic work. I guess I should consider myself lucky they didn't charge me for the tech's gas or lunch.

The upshot? Stay with their package deals, which were always good. Whatever you do, don't call them out for service unless you enjoy being up-charged so much it's insulting to your intelligence to call it anything other than gouging.

I believe that Aaron & Trecker is the best hvac company in terms of expertise, quality of work, fair price and reliability. I have used them since 2011 to service my previous hvac system which was a Bryant 80 furnace and a/c. This past December, 2018, I purchased a new Bryant high efficiency furnace and a/c from them. The 96% efficient, 2-stage furnace performs efficiently and flawlessly, especially during cold snaps like the 22 degrees below zero this past January of 2019. The a/c system also performs efficiently and flawlessly especially during the recent heat wave this past July of 2019. We could not have asked for more stringent tests of our hvac system. If only I could plan everything else this well! After 8 months of operation, I can now verify the economic bonus of our efficiency upgrade. Both our winter gas and summer electric bills were lower than even my most optimistic estimates which was amazing. Thank you Aaron & Trecker.

I attribute my hvac’s excellent performance to Aaron & Trecker’s installation by their furnace technicians. They made sure everything was done right. Replacing an older hvac system with a new, high efficiency furnace is quite complicated. It requires a wide range of skills including pvc piping, sheet metal working, gas piping, electrical wiring, and plumbing. They installed everything with great care. For example, they ran the pvc lines, especially the effluent line, perfectly so that it drains properly. This is critical in high efficiency furnace installations. They also installed a chimney flue liner (about 45’ of corrugated aluminum 4” tube) for my gas water heater. At my request, they ran an 8 wire bundle for my new, ecobee4 smart thermostat to replace my existing 3 wire bundle. This alleviated the need for a power adapter and it availed additional functionality for the ecobee4. The list goes on and I was very happy that Aaron & Trecker was doing the work. It gave me peace of mind.

Furthermore, Aaron and Trecker provided unique solutions. They designed and installed a connection at my furnace intake port so that I would not have to worry about snow covering my outside intake line during extended winter vacations. Also, they modified my outside pvc pipes so that I can access the outside wall of my house adjacent to these pipes.

I absolutely recommend Aaron & Trecker for any of your hvac needs and for your peace of mind.

Tony is always punctual and very pleasant to work with. All the guys are. I think A&T is very thorough and accurate with diagnosing an issue. I highly recommend them. Always a good experience.

Friday night at 1am my furnace went crazy. Loud grinding noises. Turned it off. Called these guys Saturday morning. By 2pm I had a working furnace again. Great communication. Quick response on a busy weekend. Super thankful for the rapid help.
