Had an issue with my furnace not working and called Miller's. They communicated well, they were on time and fixed the issue in short order. Furnace is back up and running. This was my first time calling Miller's but I will be only calling them moving forward. Thank you Miller's! There is a reason this company has been in business for a long time. I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC help.

They showed up for my emergency and fixed the problem but charged an arm and a leg. I understand a $100/$200 mark up for showing up after hours but these folks charged me $300 for a $25 part in addition to $189 for just showing up. $500 out of the door for replacing an igniter, seriously?? I would not prefer to use this service or recommend them to anyone in future. There’s a difference between after hours showing up charge and mooching and taking advantage of helplessness due to an emergency.

Miller's Area Htg. has been our "go-to" HVAC company for several years. Dependable and trustworthy. Our AC started struggling last week so I obtained several proposals for a replacement. Holly, Miller's Project Mgr., came out the next day. Her knowledge and professionalism was outstanding.

We purchased a 2 stage variable speed, 4 ton air conditioner and a 95V furnace. Holly took care of the paperwork and obtained the village permit. Everything was installed today by Mike, Oney (our friendly regular technician), and Sean in a matter of only 8 hours. Their workmanship was impeccable. They removed all of the old equipment and performed a clean up of the work areas. Mike, the lead installer, took the time to update me on their progress throughout the day, walking me through the new included wi-fi thermostat, and completing a checklist and walkthrough at the conclusion of the job.

They made sure that there were no questions left unanswered before they left.

I'm now enjoying the comfort of our new AC thanks to Miller's Area Htg. and Air Conditioning. Thanks very much!

1/9/19: I should have also mentioned that when the building inspector came for the final approval, he was impressed by the workmanship by Miller's.

2/15/21 The humidifier became noisy and water was flowing more than normal out of the drain tube (causing my ejector pump to go on frequently.) I called Miller's and in two hours, Eric, the service technician, came out to the house and installed a new humidifier.

Eric was great, addressing my questions and concerns and explaining how the humidifier works. It's all quiet now and my ejector pump is breathing a sigh of relief. I hope Eric will be the one when it's time for the AC checkup in the spring.

Miller's Area Heating has given us terrific service, and we highly recommend them! They installed an air conditioner, furnace, air purifier, humidifier, and hot water heater in our house. During the sales procedure, Holly described the equipment and its function so well (without ever being a pushy salesperson!) that we were confident we were getting the right equipment for our needs. Once the equipment was installed, we joined Miller's Comfort Club to make sure that it was always properly maintained by qualified technicians. That gave us great peace of mind! When we purchased a new house and the hot water heater died the day after closing, we immediately called Holly and she took care of us right away. We can't say enough good things about this company -- other companies should take lessons from them!

I moved into my townhome in September, 1998. January 1, 1999 we woke up to a blizzard outside & no heat inside! The previous owners had left a business card on our kitchen cabinet door for Miller Heating. So on New Year’s Day I called them. The nicest man came out, gerryrigged the furnace so it would work for a few days, but told us we’d need a new furnace. I purchased a new furnace from them that is still going strong. I’ve used them yearly for maintenance & have never been disappointed. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

I have had several great experiences with Millers, 1st one 3 years ago in winter when my furnace would not start up, I called the people who installed the furnace (not millers) and they told me it be a $300 trip charge because it was a Sunday PLUS what ever it cost to fix it... I decided that sounded a bit excessive.. I called Millers and they said they they do not charge just to arrive at your house. well a really nice guy came over and started working on my furnace, (it had never been serviced since its install) he tested everything and found a dirty sensor was the problem, he proceeded to disassemble the furnace and clean everything.. he definitely worked a full hour on it, and of course the furnace worked fine, I just looked up the bill in check book from 11/24/2014 total charge $109. WOW! I almost feel like a stole something from them at that price. Also had my office furnace serviced 1/7/2016 total cleaning also $109 I cant find my more recent receipt for a more serious failure, and electronic board failed and the board was something like $300.. still when I think about my Car getting serviced I had an electronic module in my door go bad and that was $250 and a second one in the tailgate was another $250 my bill was $700 just to fix some stupid modules that randomly caused weird problems in my car. Replacing a $300 board in my furnace seems like a deal compared to my car.

Last Note here the people in the office and owners at Millers are great regular people, the kind of people you would not mind having as your neighbor or a night out on the town. I stopped in their office to thank them and the owners are great down to earth people.

I do not recommend…Unprofessional. All they do is try to up-sell and then when you question their quality of work, they do not cooperate. Disappointed, as I do like to support local businesses.

They got a technician out within an hour and a half of my call. They honored the urgency of the situation given that it was down to 58 degrees in our house and we have a newborn. The technician was professional and made sure to replace our broken igniter before I had to leave for an appointment. Very grateful.
