Dave Thorson, the owner of Northern Continental, has been our go-to professional for all our HVAC needs. He and his crew just replaced an AC unit and furnace last week. We got an exceptional unit, installed and cleaned up in a day. My husband, the inspector general of the house approved of all that was done. As for me, the clean freak, they left everything spotless! We are so thankful that people recommended this company when we moved here in 2017.

Called Northern Continental because my AC stopped working, of course on what was to be the hottest weekend of the year thus far. It was today, the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I tried several other companies before coming across their name and giving them a call. The other companies could not work me in. Northern Continental said they would work me in the same day. Called at 9:15AM and the Tech, Dave, was on site by 10:30AM. That is excellent customer service. Dave was super friendly and got my system charged back up and functional. All in all, great company, great experience, and great customer service. I highly recommend them and will be contacting Northern Continental in the future! Thanks a million!!

The guys at Northern Continental were true professionals! Dan was wonderful to deal with as we priced out the right option for our house for a new furnace and air conditioner. We went with Trane and so far the system is amazing. Dan was so easy to work with and let us take our time to make a decision and was never in a rush. Dave and his crew quickly and efficiently. Leaving no mess behind. They had everything done in day. Dan also recommended the Ecobee thermostat because I wasn't a fan of the nest. I am glad we made that choice and is an easy setup and easy to use app.

Yet another Northern Continental Heating & Cooling success story.

After my A/C unit died after 20+ years of service, I chose Northern Continental to replace both my furnace and A/C. The entire process from my initial contact to closing my windows watching the indoor temperature drop on a 90-degree day could not have gone any better.

I'm very confident that Dan was able to identify the right equipment that would meet my needs without being over-sold and is sized appropriately for my home. The installation went exactly as planned- no hiccups or surprises. Additionally, I'm very impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Everything about the installation including wiring, vent pipes, condensation lines, connections to the outside A/C unit is very clean and professional.

I would highly recommend keeping Northern Continental on your shortlist for any HVAC needs!

I have used Northern Continental HVAC in the past and so when my water heater starting leaking i gave Dave a call. I wasn't sure he did water heaters but he agreed to come out the next day for an estimate at 8am. The very next day at about 7:30am the heater cracked where water was rushing out forcing me to turn it off. Dave showed up on-time and walked me through the options along with his recommendation. His price was fair and competitive and I knew it would get done right. Dave said he could do it the same day, he left at 8:30am for about an hour to get the supplies and went to work replacing my water heater as well as making some improvements to the plumbing system. By Noon I was back online with hot water.

Called them to check on a unit and was charged hundreds of dollars to be told you just need to change the filters. The very next week the belt broke on that same unit and instead of wasting hundreds of dollars again I self diagnosed changed the belt and noticed the blower wheel to be broken. Bought the part and asked them to come install they said nope. Sorry we don't make enough money on just the install and have to overcharge you for the part.
Please Please Please take your money elsewhere.

I have been a 7 year customer of Northern Continental. They have maintained my furnace and AC and also replaced the furnace some years ago.

Their techs are excellent, always on time, and explain what needs to be done. All are very knowledgeable. I recommend very highly.

From heating horse barns and arenas to heating & cooling our homes we have used Northern Continental for 40 years and we cannot say enough good things about this business, the owners and employees.

Can't say enough about the quality and workmanship of Northern Continental. This is the third house that they have worked on including two new heating systems and miscellaneous projects. Our current home is two story and has never been heated or cooled properly. After 19 years we decided to finally fix our problem with a new system. Unknown to us, a larger unit would not correct our upstairs problem.
Dave solved the problem by adding a Mitsubishi 4 system unit to the upstairs. The units are individually controlled for each room and are outstanding. Each bedroom has it's own controller and now we only have to heat or cool the rooms being used. While he was at it we decided to replace the original furnace before it died in the dead of winter. Great job, great crew.
