I had problems with my solar panels which had been installed years back by another company which went out of business. I contacted Revolusun to see if they could resolve. While it did necessitate a few visits, and arguably that could have been solved sooner, I nonetheless highly command Revolusun for keeping at it and for the quality of their customer service. Ashley was awesome. The technicians who came were knowledgeable, competent and very professional.
I highly recommend using Revolusun and passed the word to all my neighbors

Among a million issues (non responsive, schedulers not tracking what work was or wasn’t done, sending the team to do unauthorized work, sending them on the wrong day/wrong time, etc), we’ve been waiting 6 months for them to fix the mapping for our phone app. They won’t respond to calls or emails. The install crew is nice, but the rest of the company is so unprofessional that it overshadows any positives. As I’ve been telling friends and neighbors, go with a different company. You’ll be much happier.

Excellent customer service, quick responses to all my questions. Quick quality installation, and I’m so happy with with my 18 solar panels and Tesla power wall 2 battery. My wife and I both work all day, and we the AC every night, and all day on weekends— once the battery is charged, the rest of the energy my panels produces feeds the grid, which I get money back for from my utility. My average monthly electric bill has been $26 (the minimum). Go with Revolusun, and you will win at life

Update October 2022:

Alright, so three years later and a bag of bad feelings, the worst happened. I noticed my Solar wasn’t working. I went to check it, and noticed the inverter was switched off. I did the online recommended trouble shooting, basically turn it on and off at various levels, but no dice.

Despite the less than stellar initial experience, I knew I’d have to call revolusun as they had all the info and warranty on the product. I was certain three years wasn’t a typical shelf life for such a critical component as the inverter!

Thankfully, revolusun really was in the ball. I got back with our sales person point of contact, and he thought much of the issues I brought up had been resolved two years prior.

I will give some grace as the hang up was he thought a piece of paperwork was delivered but had not. Then Covid hit and obviously, communication, and follow-up was lost.

Nevertheless, after this initial contact, revolusun actually took the opportunity to makes things right.

Someone came out within the week. Saw the inverter was essentially fried. They installed a new inverter in a surprising turn around and with much more seamless communication. Even with issues with inverter supply, they were able to make it work.

So for those who have had problems, don’t give up! I now really regret giving up after no follow-up. And, I now know how to make things more seamless on everyone’s part.

I used to contact our sales person for updates, but then he’d just have to ask the scheduler. This added an extra person, and we’d be playing phone tag with sales, they’d be trying to get scheduling, and then scheduling would have to chase install/electricians.

Now, I’d just call revolusun and ask for the scheduler directly. Also, what makes things hard is the installer isn’t always an electricians. So, the electrician installed the inverter then the solar specialist linked the inverter to the system. So, this all takes time and multiple visits.

There was a chance for miscommunication, as the office didn’t realize the solar specialists wasn’t able to hook it up after the electrician was done, but just calling scheduling direct was able to resolve the issue pretty quickly.

I’m happy I followed-up and implore others who haven’t had the best experience to call back, as revolusun actually did want to make it right.

I’d still have to give four stars as the original issues can’t be forgotten, but the turn around time from finding out my inverter was cooked to back up and running was less than a month. As many may be aware of there are unbelievable supply issues going on, I was pleasantly surprised.

Whether communication has simply improved, or I had bad luck the first time, I’d say give revolusun a chance. I’m happy in the end, and they seem to stand by their product and will resolve issues that do pop-up down the line.

I had a pretty terrible time with this company. I understood the long wait for approvals from the state and there were issues with timing of the construction of our house. However, the lack of contact and responsiveness from the company was so abysmal, we had tons of problems. We were recommended the wrong inverter size after increasing panels. They didn’t communicate well, and didn’t install our panels in time for move in despite tons of lead time.They turned on our system but didn’t check the meter, and we got charged for energy sent to HECO!

They tried to “make it right” promising all sorts of things, but, again, never followed up on any of their empty promises.

In the end, I really regret not going with another company. Even though revolusun were so slow to contact us, we kept on thinking we put so much time and energy into this company we can’t go back. But , that’s dumb and their terrible performance in the beginning should’ve been a big red flag at the start. Don’t let sink cost fallacy make you regret this because EV panels cost us over 50k. Find someone else to assist you with your solar needs.

We could not be happier with the service that we received from RevoluSun. We had used them several years ago when we installed our first set of PV panels. We recently used them again for installation of more PV panels with the Tesla powerwalls. We also decided to use them for installation of our split AC units. Kevin, our service representative, was there with us throughout the whole process and answered any questions that we had very promptly. Charlie, who is in charge of the AC installation, was also available whenever we had questions. When an issue arose regarding one of the compressors that was installed (no fault of RevoluSun but rather the manufacturer), he took care of it right away. I believe that the thing that separates Revolusun from some of their competitors is that they view the relationship as a long-term relationship and gladly stand behind their products and service. There is a reason why they are one of the largest companies on the island when it comes to PV panels and will continue to be in business even with the changing winds. We could not give them any higher recommendation than to say that we have referred them to our friends and family. Thank you RevoluSun.

About a year ago, I had a PV system installed with battery backup. Recently, we've been having severe electrical issues at our home, with lights flickering, breakers tripping, etc... I called twice to see if I could technical support, and I never received a call back. I hired an electrician to troubleshoot, and it looks like Revolusun did not ground our breaker. From what I understand, they used a temporary ground and forgot to put in something permanent. Now my $7k powerwall is not responding to the app. Revolusun, if you want this rating revised, please return my call. Thanks.

Update: I'm updating my review to 3 stars. After posting this review, I received a call from Mura at Revolusun, and she was very helpful in resolving my issue. She sent a crew down to make sure that everything was ok with our breaker, and sent us a check to cover the cost of the electrician I hired.

Update 2: We ran into an issue with our panels not generating power last week, and I left a message with Revolusun on Sunday, and received a call before noon on Monday. It was Mura, and she, again, was very helpful. She was able to determine that our inverter went bad, and will be sending a crew to replace it this week.

Just wanted to share a great experience with RevoluSun and Michelle Chung. Shopped around and got a lot of quotes bc it was a considerable investment and realized that even though RevoluSun was one of the biggest and well known companies there prices were considerable cheaper than less established competitors and they had the Tesla battery which I really wanted. Ran into problems with permitting bc the house I recently purchased was built in the early 70s. I was very discouraged and didn't want to go though with the PV system. However, Michelle Chung and her expert team guided me and facilitated the project way beyond the scope of her normal work.
I would encourage everyone to get a PV system through RevoluSun. They will guide you though the whole process and make you feel comfortable and really take the time to explain and answer all your questions.

We LOVE our PV system! It is sooo energy efficient and the financial benefits are a plus. I enjoy checking the Tesla app to see the green energy bar powering our home and helping the community reduce its dependence on oil.

From start to finish, these 2 professionals advised me of what was going to be accomplished from taking before/after photos of panel cleaning and Reconnecting my monitoring system.
