There was water running down my walls and onto my thermostat, pooling on the floor. Fearing a system failure with my 20-year-old A/C unit, I called another company with whom I had done business before, but they told me no one could come out this week. My condo office recommended Keep Kool, and Bobby was here to help me within the hour. He worked with our maintenance staff to unclog the drain line from the unit above, and then he installed a new thermostat to replace the ancient one that had not survived its morning swim. I was expecting the worst, but Keep Kool saved the day and didn't try to sell me a new A/C unit.

WOW. 5 stars doesn’t feel like enough. We used Keep Kool to install a mini-split AC and repair a central AC in the same week and we were so thankful that we did. On an unbearably hot August day, we gave them a call and Julio came out and had our broken AC up and running within 2 1/2 hours of us reaching out. Just amazing. Julio and Bobby are genuinely honest people - something you don’t often find in this industry in South Florida especially. They look for ways to save their clients money instead of looking for ways to charge them extra. Can’t recommend Keep Kool enough. Will be going to them for all our AC needs from now until forever.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. This company is truly extraordinary. But not just because of its quick response time and competent work. If, like me, you're accustomed to being lied to and overcharged by greedy HVAC contractors who don't return phone calls, you'll be absolutely taken aback by Julio's decency. The best word I can think of to describe him is "honorable". And that’s uncommon in today’s marketplace.

Our AC died on the hottest day of the millennium thus far. Every HVAC company in SoFla was completely inundated. By the time we called they were all 2-3 days out. Later, a neighbor gave us Julio's number saying she trusted him implicitly. He got back to us within 20 minutes! A couple hours later he came out, replaced the capacitor, and we were up and running. I then expected a bill in the $225 range. Imagine my surprise when it was only $127.00. But wait!

By this time the temp inside had soared to 85. So the system ran for like 4 hours just to get it bearable in here. At some point, though, the cool air stopped coming. And once again, Julio arrived within a couple of hours. Here it was, 8 o’clock on a Saturday night! He quickly determined the outside fan motor had failed. Probably from running continuously for so long. Definitely not his fault. But would you believe? He handed our check back to me!

Now, he may not do that every time. In our case I suspect it’s because the next day was Sunday with no prayer of getting a replacement motor until Monday. He might have felt compelled to alleviate any apprehension we’d feel over having paid him and still not had a functioning system. That’s called empathy folks. And as if such a good deed wasn’t enough, he gave me the motor’s specs so I could try to find a quicker source. Unheard of!

We got a hotel room and waited until Monday morning. True to his word Julio showed up at 8 a.m., removed the burned-out motor, left to find a replacement, and returned within a half hour to have it mounted and working by 9 a.m.

I have no doubt we’d have paid a different contractor over $500 for all the trouble Julio went to. But we’d never have found one because they’d all be busy trying to convince us to spend $3500+ on a new system. Julio charged us $300, total. I’m considering putting him in my will. What a wonderful man.

Would not return calls regarding air conditioning he installed. Did not complete job. Would not recommend to anyone.
