REM Air Conditioning of Tampa

I am in the habit of waiting six months or so after I purchase any major product before writing a review. Will folks here it is - this is an excellent company! When our old unit finally completely died I called REM and a serviceman came out in less than two hours. He was able to get cool air with a band-aid fix, but he recommended it would be far cheaper to not invest any more money and just bite the bullet with a new unit. Boy, am I glad I took his advise. I have compared our electric bill each month with the same month last year and on average, they have been cut in half. They installed a new very efficient Rheem condenser and air handler and rebuilt the existing platform that it rested on, and in addition installed new duct work and added a12x12 return in our master bedroom at no extra cost to the quoted price for the new handler alone (which was reasonable to begin with.) Then they also added a new drain from the handler to the outside of the house so that it would run downhill with half the distance. On top of all that, the foreman of the team took out the grill from the main return and spray painted it AND surprised me by cutting and installing a new crawl space cover with 3/4" plywood to the garage attic and fixed it so that it now simply slid on rails instead of having to remove it each time to get up inside. It's a little thing, yes...but it's the little things that make this company outstanding when compared to their competitors. The cleanup was impeccable. Special thanks to everyone for everything.

REM installed a new Rheem ac system at my home recently and we are happy with the quality of both the product and the installation. Everyone that we interacted with at REM, i.e., those handling the calls/scheduling, providing the assessment/estimate (Chris), and installing the system, was professional, efficient and transparent.

So thankful for them!!! All of their technicians are honest and helpful. Leo was wonderful helping us out this time. This is the third time they have serviced our home and each time we’ve had someone out here prior to assess and give us a quote (because my husband called and didnt know I liked to use REM). Without fail other people constantly try to rip us off. This time, I had Super Heat and Air come out and tell me that I had mold, and a fried circuit board to my AC. He quoted me at a minimum of $1300, but said i need to do the full package to really fix it and not just put a band aid on the problem... which would cost $3400.

I knew this was not right as i just had my annual home inspection a month prior, and my husband told me it’s not possible as well. We called REM and there was simply something unplugged and another wire that needed to be reconnected. They charged me $85 and now my AC is working beautifully.

While most companies are going commission based, REM hires honest , hourly paid technicians that care about helping you not those looking to rip you off for a check.

I've been using these guys for years and almost always the same tech comes out. Super friendly and tells you like it is and works with you to make sure your happy. Son and dog loved the tech and he was super good with the kid. Will be a customer for life.

Highly recommend REM Air!! My AC was out and I called around 4:00 pm, they had someone to my house within an hour! Chris was amazing, very professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful! He was able to make the necessary repairs the same day. He was a pleasure to meet and the entire experience was exceptional.

I was very impressed with the great service that was given and the professionalism that was shown by the technician Clarence. I will make sure that I never use another AC company besides Rem AC company again.

When it was time to replace my HVAC system, I reached out to three contractors for quotes.
My current system was installed by REM a very long time ago. Over the years, I never had any issues but they maintained it very well so they were invited to quote replacement.
Of the three, Joe at REM was the only one to get up in the attic and poke around to make sure there were no surprises (there was a minor one) and to go room to room to check air flow. He also asked how we like to cool the house.
As a result, he was able to provide me with a quote for a system that met my needs and tastes. They were not the cheapest, but I had the most confidence in what he offered.

Lastly, in researching best/worst air conditioners, it is clear some systems are rated better than others but there are no hard and fast facts to show anything consistent. What was the quality of the contractor doing the install has a huge impact on the life of your system.
I highly recommend REM to all my friends. You will not be disappointed.

When our 13 year old AC system decided to kick the bucket, we looked at a lot of different companies online & read many reviews. REM air conditioning company gets the highest ratings because they truly are the BEST in Tampa, my husband & I found that out first hand. Mario came out and examined our AC system when it first went down, we discovered we had huge leaks in both the inside & outside unit. Joe came over and spoke with my husband about installing a new unit, with a 10 year warranty. The rates were extremely reasonable, my father who is a retired AC tech looked over the estimate & said he felt the estimate was fair & a good deal with the warranty that we were getting.

When the AC completely went out, they came the very next day to replace our units. Ben and the whole team that came that day was amazing! They were fast, polite, kept everything very clean when they were doing the inside work. They installed a great WiFi thermostat which my husband loves. It was truly pleasure doing business with this company! A++++++++++++++++++
