Hern Heating and Air Conditioning

The AC on my seventy-year-old mother's house went out mid-June during a very hot stretch. She called another company (Velocity Air), which came out and told her the system was too old to repair, and that the $3000 to repair it would be a waste of money, then proceeded to quote her a new system. My mom (on a fixed income) called me in a panic. I called Hern Heating and air and asked them if they could send out a rep to confirm the diagnosis of Velocity Air and provide a comparative quote. The young man showed up, checked the system, indicated the need for a simple part and assured her that the system, although old, still had plenty of life. He had the part in his service truck, replaced it, checked and cleaned the system for what I felt was a fair and minimal cost (in comparison to the unnecessary repairs previously quoted by Velocity Air). The system fired right up and is cooling the house efficiently still today with no further service. THANK YOU Hern heating and Air! Hern Heating and Air Conditioning expeditiously solved a nagging problem with air flow and cooling in our home which had alluded at least 3 other (well-known) area companies, including the original equipment installer. In one visit, Roy, Scott and the team proposed a plan that was practical, logical, and something we could execute while avoiding a complete loss of our initial investment. In other words, they could have used our desperation as an opportunity to sell us new equipment, but chose to just fix our problem instead. We are extremely pleased with the prompt and professional service experience we had with Hern Heating and Air Conditioning. Highly recommend!!

I had Hern Heating and Air Conditioning give a full refresh to my aging homes air conditioning system.

From the very beginning working with the office staff of Andrea and Beth was great. Scheduling visits, answering my questions, and keeping the project on task was top notch.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Scotty who talked me through exactly where I was, and options of what we could do. He was always on time and very nice. He explained everything in a very easy to understand manner. We decided to replace just about everything (Condenser, Air Handler, Duct Work, Thermostat, etc.), and even decided to reclaim a closet based air handler to the garage and relocate my condenser on the other side of our home.

I was a little apprehensive of the scope of the work and all the work that would be required, but I must say Scotty and all the crew at Hern A/C made it look easy!! Not only is the new system night and day better, air quality has gone way up- but the workmanship and look of it all is just fantastic!

The job-site was always left clean and never was the living space disturbed much. Scotty even let me dog out a few times for me!

I could go on, but won’t. Honestly a rare occurrence to work with a honest/nice/competent/affordable service based company. It is a very rare thing these days!! Thanks again H.H.a.A.C team! I will be referring you to family and friends here on out!

The compressor on our aging AC unit finally failed very inconveniently on July 4th. Hern Heating and Air installed a new compressor and air handler unit with urgency and care. We appreciated their understanding of our situation as we have young children and it was a holiday weekend! We highly recommend Hern Heating and Air, and are thankful to have real customer service and professional workmanship in town.
