    We had this company install a completely new system in our downtown condo. We put no restrictions on the cost of the system and gave them a free hand to put in the system of their choice. They installed a Tempstar. Within two months the motor burned out. When they came to replace they said it had been wired and incorrectly. The motor was covered under warranty but the labor was not, so that cost me a couple of hundred dollars. Over the course of the next year or two another motor burnt out, a circuit board failed, the evaporator failed, and some type of switch failed. Each time under warranty we got the part but no coverage for labor charges. The labor charge for the evaporator failure alone was $800. By the time they had gone through the multiple servicing I had almost paid in labor what I paid for the whole system. They also had the nerve to charge me for something called "warranty service". They never made any attempt to bring in the manufacturer and declare this thing a lemon, which is what should have been done. Since their last repair the unit had failed two more times. I now use another AC service provider. Acme is not reliable and they will not do anything but keep plugging in new parts and charge you for the labor. I've lived in Florida half of my life and used a lot if AC units. I have never seen or heard of a new AC system failing this way, multiple times and different failures. There is no way in the world this thing, which is now about five years old, should have this history of failure, and Acme should have raised hell with their distributor. The distributor should told them to pull the unit, send it back to see why it was so screwed up, and sent a new system. Acme made no effort to do this. Don't use them, they will not stand behind their products or work.

    I called Gulf Coast for service and the response time was great. I had a leak... I knew I had a leak, that's why I called. The tech looked at the date tag and based on that, said it needed replacement. He added 1 pound of Freon and told me how it would cost hundreds of dollars alone to find the leak. You need a new unit... that's 5 grand he said. So basically I was charged $117 and told your screwed without any attempt to locate or fix the problem.

    Ray from Acme Air came by yesterday... "Before you spend the money on a replacement let's check it out". He easily found the leak on top of a copper tube right on top of the riser tube easy to find and fix. Ray brazed the leak, cleaned and serviced the coils and unit, charged it up and watched to see all the pressures were steady and correct.

    It's cold in my house this morning... A/C cranking better than new. So unless you want to be ripped off and charged $117 to be told "You're screwed" and given an replacement estimate 20% ($1000) higher than the estimate from Acme for a replacement...

    I suggest waited the extra day for Acme, rather than calling someone who will be right out. When you do a great job, you're busy :) Thanks Ray!!!

    I have had two experiences with Acme. While their tech was knowledgable and polite, their office staff (save the receptionist) is of poor quality. They do not call when they say they will (on multiple occasions). When I was informed that a matter could be handled that day, I was later informed that it may not be possible (but never given a definitive answer - that "answer" also came so late in the day that it made it impossible to seek other options for that day). The lack of a service time call back had to serve as their final answer. When, on a previous occasion, they were informed that they were calling the wrong number they failed to correct their error and continued to call the wrong number a year later. (The male office staffer also reprimanded me for not answering my phone when they called, when they called the wrong number).

    To follow up - I received a voicemail the day after I was originally told I would receive service telling me to call back if I wanted to receive service that day. I then received another call back from what appeared to be a different employee and I informed him that I sought assistance elsewhere. 1 week later and my mother, in another State, calls to tell me that someone from Acme called and left her a message thinking that they were calling my phone. The issue with them calling the wrong phone number was supposedly corrected on three prior occasions.

    Ac would not cool. I called Acme. They came out the next day as planned. They informed me of the issue and told me they could complete repairs the following day. As I was told, they were here in the morning to complete repairs. The repair men were professional and answered my questions. I am very happy with the service .They were prompt and completed all work in a timely manner. I will use this company in the future for any further repairs or replacement.

    ACME's technicians improperly installed an A/C unit at one of my rental properties. They had to come out every few months to fix the same problem. Technicians were rude to female tenants. ACME has left threatening voicemails about late invoices and also threatened to come steal my tenant's air conditioner.

    I have used Acme Air for over twenty years. They do a great job and are very responsive. When your air goes down, stress ensues and minutes feel like hours. That plus the fact it always seems to break down on the weekend.

    Acme replaced a 18,000 btu through the wall a/c. I called late in the afternoon and they were there the next morning. The price was very fair and the installation was perfect. Doesn't get any better, thanks guys!!

    I was behind this work van driving today. This guy was cutting people off, also did not once use a blinker... think of kids walking across the road before you speed like that, also bad for buisness when you drive like that. Not cool...

    ACME fixed our problem promptly. As always, price was reasonable. We call no one else for ac issues.
