After six months of evaluating companies to install a new furnace and AC I found Nutmeg and I am very glad I did. Professional team came in and installed in one day!! New Carrier forces hot air furnace and AC work great. I had a service related issue and was resolved that day (actually within several hours). Very good choice!!

Replaced the Central AC in my home. Nutmeg sales person answered all my questions with responses that made sense for my application. Prices are reasonable and the scheduling met my needs. They also used a specific size crew to insure we were without AC for only a day in this very hot weather. System was up and running by late afternoon and is working great. The lead tech explained everything I needed to know about the new system as well as the installation specifics relating to the new refrigeration lines, unit location and the line set to hide the refrigeration lines. Overall pleased with Nutmeg performance and would recommend them to anyone.

Nutmeg installed a new Goodman replacement furnace and air conditioning system for us in Windsor. I had done a lot of research regarding what type of units were appropriate to balance cost, efficiency and comfort. Jeff was able to respond to all my questions in a practical, straightforward and obviously experienced manner. We installed a two stage 96% efficient furnace with a 16 SER single stage AC. I had the large usual suspects also quote, Nutmeg was 11% less than the closest competitor with identical equipment (Goodman is #1 on the reviews I saw).
The installation crew was workmanlike, professional and delivered what exactly what they promised. The 2 stage furnace keeps a constant temperature and is a huge improvement. I can confidently recommend them.

Not only did Nutmeg flawlessly complete a furnace conversion for us in 2015 (of which this positive review is long overdue) they also helped us out with another furnace issue we were having at another property recently. They were reliable, honest, on time and accurate with their quotes and super easy to work with. They made what could have been an absolute nightmare go 10x smoother than we ever could have expected. They use all of their own service professionals so you won't have random contractors coming into your home. Their customer service is also top notch. I have full confidence in Nutmeg with everything heating and cooling related and would recommend them to anyone looking for a company for these services.

AC was fading on a brutal day. Called Nutmeg at end of day. Came out early NEXT day. Added refrigerant and dye (for future leak diagnosis). System was back at full speed. Courteous and professional technician. Very pleased.

Install new ductless AC system in June. Cooling works fine through this hot summer. We finally got a chance to test the heating function last night, and it works.

In May, we did selected 3 companies, including one big box store, to give us on-site estimation. Nutmeg salesperson, Leo, is the most professional one, and he is the only one who did check my attic during the visit. The price Nutmeg gave me is not the cheapest one, but it is really reasonable. Nutmeg sent their AC installation team on 06/18, a super hot date with 90+F, and get all the works done within one visit.

We chose the Carrier’s product, 3 indoor wall units and one outdoor unit. We only had some little problem on one indoor unit, as it sometime cannot deliver sufficient cool air to the room. Note that we use same temperature setting for all the 3 indoor units, and it seems the thermometer in the problematic unit behaves different. We found that this problem can be fixed easily by turning down the temperature 2 or 3 degree lower on that particular unit, and then we can activate the heat pump and get cool air. Anyhow, this is my experience about the Carrier products, and I don't think this should affect my positive review on Nutmeg.

In general, I think Nutmeg did all the bests for their work, and hence I have already recommend Nutmeg to my friends. I definitely will ask Nutmeg to do the following maintenance services, and I will update this review after our 1st year service.

Top notch professional job. I have been using Nutmeg for service for several years. I replaced my furnace & A/C July 2019. Leo gave me quotes for a couple of different options. The cost was exactly as quoted, they arrived at the time they told me, and completed the job in the time frame expected. Excellent customer service that you only get with a family run business. I highly recommend this company. They obviously take a great deal of pride in all facets of their work.

Oil furnace died, needed new gas furnace urgently. Got quotes from three places. Two places tried to exploit my urgent need, quoting me a ridiculous amount. Nutmeg was referred to me by neighbor. Their quote was not only MUCH lower but it also included a higher-quality furnace. Leo in sales was a straight-shooter and a technical expert to boot. John and his crew that did the job were true professionals - courteous, prompt, hard working, cleaned up afterward, and didn’t teach my kids any new words. Fantastic experience all around, and I won’t bother with three quotes next time I need HVAC services.

We have had very positive experiences with Nutmeg Mechanical since 2013 when a neighbor recommended them to us. They installed 2 geothermal units in 2013 to replace our original units and these have worked very well. They recently replaced an original heat pump for us and the installation team was courteous, punctual, efficient and cleaned the area. We use Nutmeg for annual maintenance and highly recommend Nutmeg.

We purchased a Goodman air conditioning system and heating units from Nutmeg Mechanical Services. Chris is articulate and well organized sales consultant, who made us feel satisfied, met our expectations wherein we never felt pressured. NutmegMechanical delivered as promised and resolved all our concerns with speed and accuracy. The systems work just as explained. "Great units", would purchase again.
