We would like to express appreciation to WinAir Company for the dedication & commitment that was shown to us on Thanksgiving Day.
Here is our story: We experienced an equipment failure of our heating system and called Fort Collins Heating and Air. When our technician arrived, I showed him the location of equipment and he started right in with his inspection. Once he completed his testing and equipment review, he advised of his findings and phone calls/texts he made. As he was waiting for a call back from WinAir Company, he was hopeful that they would open up but was concerned about what charge there may be for doing so. I told him that it is what it is, with cold weather coming, we have no choice.
The first surprise came when he said that the supply house would open up and told him on the pricing, “if you don’t charge your customer, we won’t charge FCH&A”. WOW! He said he was going to go by the shop and pick up piping materials, etc., then to the supply house to pick up blower motor. Upon his return the second surprise happened. He advised that not only did Katy Blough at WinAir provide the motor at no cost, but also all the associated materials to complete the job. Again, WOW,
When it comes to “Acts of Kindness”, this is one that will never be forgotten and not easily repaid. Two people stand out in this situation, Rufat and Katy and need to be recognized for their kindness and dedication to getting us back up and running on a Holiday. There is no doubt in our mind, they both are, like so many others within each organization, individuals that make their companies stand out among their competitors.
During my business career, I lead organizations and fully understand that a staff member can only do what the “Company” policies/culture allows them to do. To me it’s obvious, the leaders of both companies, Glenn Frank (FCH&A) & Dave McGee (WinAir)) have created a culture of customer service and giving staff members the latitude to feel comfortable in doing what is necessary “in the field” to take care of the customer!
I did stop by WinAir to thank Katy and ended up meeting with Dave McGee, President. After explaining our event to him, he advised that it is his policy that on Holidays, when an unplanned event happens, they are not going to charge for their part in getting things back up and running. He expressed that Fort Collins and surrounding areas are where they live, work and work hard to support the efforts of their customers, so they are going to do what is necessary to be a part of the solution. Amazing philosophy in today's business world!! Thank you, Dave and team!
They do have a good selection and 98% of everything you need in stock at a fair price. Id give 5 starts but they got a jerk at the register who can't be bothered to do his job.
Called and asked about an ignitor for my furnace. They said that they have alot of them I stock and the price was $169. Amazon sells the exact one for $30 I told them and he said then buy it from them in a very condescending tone. Then I asked if there were other company's that sell this product to the general public and he said I could just call around. I would have paid an extra $10-$15 to get the part today but to overcharge by $130 that's insane. I hope people don't go here and get ripped off.
Great staff, products and service. It's refreshing to have a flesh and blood human answer the phone when you call! I have used this company for a very long time and have no intentions of changing that anytime soon, keep up the good work guys!
They are ok people I put up the parts for the company I work for some of them are good to others more than they are focus on the other but they are still working hard for the people
