CA Quality Heating and Cooling previously known as West Coast Heating and Cooling before they changed their name was hired by my Home Warrenty Company to inspect the entire cooling system of my home because it was not working. They inspected only my outdoor Condenser and told me that it was faulty and needed to be completely replaced. The previous condenser was still under manufacture Warrenty so the new unit was provided by the manufacture but CA Quality Heating and Cooling charged me $1,500 directly to do “required modifications”. After replacing the condenser, my cooling system was still not working. They had to be recalled to my home again see what they had done wrong. This time they said it was another component that was faulty of course with more fees. At this point, I began to lose trust in them and contacted another licensed HVAC company as a second opinion. They confirmed that none of those “modifications” were ever done nor were they required because my home was built in 2019 and had all the up to date parts. I attempted to contact CA Quality Heating and Cooling to have them explain what exactly they did in these “modifications” and they completely ignored all my calls and messages for weeks. This led me to file a complaint with the Home Warrenty company. After sending the Home Warrenty all the documentation from the second opinion company as well as the proof of my $1,500 directly to them, First American Home Warrenty recommended they refund me the money since they had already paid them for the labor. CA Quality called me to tell me that “it is their word verses ours and they don’t have to disclose what was done in their modifications” and that they were keeping my money. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF HIRING THIS COMPANY! They are thieves with no morals or integrity and are out to rip off their customers. Currently waiting to file a lawsuit on them.

There is no confusion, and I am very much aware that home warrenty companies do not cover all cost which is why I made the $1,500 payment directly to your company in the first place. Many of the replacement parts that was part of that charge were not replaced such a the Condenser pad which still has paint marks from 2019 when the house was last painted. Your company did not do a full system check, they stopped and assumed that it was the condenser instead of doing what was requested to see if there was multiple issues to get the job done correctly the first time. In addition, I did reach out to your company through the email provided in your response and your company couldn’t even tell me what was done in these so called modifications. For example, what modifications had to be done to the high voltage, what modifications had to be done to the low voltage, etc. Each modification charge was over $250 each. Your company took advantage of me because I was not knowledgeable on HVAC and charged me an absurd amount of money. Anyone should be weary of hiring your company to do any work at their house. You know what your company did was wrong and unprofessional and could of made an attempt of making it right. Instead, you call me to tell me that “it’s your word against mine”? Integrity and ownership of a mistake would have gone a long way with me, it’s sad to see how your company responded to this situation.

Very good pricing, very professional and explained all the details of the job. We are upgrading our a/c, furnace system with them!
