5 Diamond HVAC (Comfort Bros Heating And Air)

Young technician was very nice and did come back to my house after unfortunately not hearing him the first time. He said after going into my attic and checking out my air conditioner that the problem was the thermostat. He then tried to sell us one for $370 and I said no. Then he offered me one for $140. I then said ok change it, which he proceeded to do. After he changed the thermostat, he said that it still didn't work because of the mother board. He said it would be $800 after all of this I said no I do not want to invest into an older unit. I asked the price on a new system and he said it would be $7500-$9500. At that point he said he was sorry and he would need to order the mother board. Then he proceeded to charge me $229. $140 for the thermostat and $89.00 for the diagnosis fee. He did not diagnose the problem and changing the thermostat did not fix my AC. I had Alberto from Ocean Heating & Air Conditioning. He was here for 30 minutes and said the furnace was unplugged and that all we needed was Freon. He charged me a total of $150 and my AC is now working.

I spoke to 5 Diamond Mechanical's manager and explained that I did not understand why I was charged to replace a thermostat and charged for a diagnosis I did not receive. He did offer to send someone back on Monday to replace my thermostat and reimburse my fees. I will update my review when and if this happens.

Carlos is exceptional at customer service, he is available via text and makes the process as seamless as possible. As a customer it is easier to work with the owner directly and it makes a difference when the owner is as pleasant and easy to reach as he is.
Additionally I respect the way the quotes are produced as they are completely broken down so you know what you are being charged. Many companies lump everything but this system is much more upfront. I would recommend working with 5 Diamond and especially with Carlos.

Inquired about duct installation from our microwave exhaust fan to the outside roof vent and 5 Diamond completed the job quickly thereafter. They were thorough enough to reroute our bathroom fan vent ducts properly as well. From the initial bid, to the work, to the post follow-up, all the employees were responsive and personable.

From the beginning Carlos and Nick were very professional and very attentive to the work that was being done at my house. They made sure their workers were getting the work done. My family and I are satisfied with their work and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Truly outstanding service. They checked our 3 airconditioners and furnaces and pronounced them in good shape. Their only recommendation was to change out two capacitors.
This was after we had an evaluation by a different company who said all units should be changed because they were nearing the end of their life.
Honesty is a rare virtue these days and it is comforting to find a company that isn't out to just sell equipement.
