I’ve worked with Joseph for AC/heating servicing, maintenance, and repair over the last 3 years. About 3 years ago, I worked with him to figure out why my heater stopped working, and he discovered I had a broken gas valve which he replaced. He was upfront and transparent with cost and had fair pricing. He took the time to explain each step so I’d understand — very professional!

This visit, his colleague Jose came to do a maintenance/service check on my system before the summer started. He found issues with my indoor and outdoor motor, where there was evidence of oil leakage (he showed me pictures he took too). I also hadn’t replaced my filter in many months and advised I should do this every 2 months to keep the AC working efficiently. He then told me which issues should be fixed urgently and which were less urgent where we could wait and watch. He offered different packages, depending on what items I wanted to fix and explained which each entailed. Also very professional and transparent!

Overall, very satisfied with the service and have recommended this company to my friends and colleagues for all heating and AC servicing needs!

Joseph and his team were excellent! Jose, the worker who came out, was knowledgeable and communicated the issues we had with our AC clearly. They were able to get us on schedule very quickly and were timely with their service. The price was very reasonable and they offer payment options if needed! My hot water heater went out and he was able to replace it for me within three days. I would recommend his handyman services to anybody looking for good quality work, with a fast response time.

It was my first time ever having to purchase an entire HVAC replacement for one that broke down at my rental property, and Joseph was very easy and professional to work with; I highly recommend his business and their services. What drew me to Joseph primarily was his down-to-earth customer service when I called the number to inquire about my options and schedule a quote for an HVAC replacement. He took his time to explain things without coming off as trying to upsell me; he genuinely communicated with me to educate me and fill in gaps of what I knew about the general process and how the purchase can go, especially with the technicalities of a SMUD rebate as an option. He also offered the best financing out of all three of the contractors that I scheduled to get a quote, which what also contributed to deciding on going with him and his business. On top of all that, his team was also able to come out within days after you sign a contract, and he was very communicative from start to finish.

I started working with him in summer of 2021 when we needed HVAC maintenance and between ongoing HVAC service, general home maintenance and more he has been a lifesaver more times than I can count! Extremely personable and professional, responds promptly to messages, and really works with you to accomplish your vision. This includes giving you detailed options (complete with quotes) for completing a given job—so even if you don’t know much about home repairs or installations (me!) you feel confident that you are making a well-informed decision. He has hired several people to join his team and it’s clear he hires with great care to make sure his team maintains his high professional standards and quality of work. We are so incredibly happy that we met Joseph for our HVAC needs. Our HVAC system was 19yo and completely shot since we moved into our house in May 2021.

We first reached out to Joseph in June when we couldn't stand the summer heat. He told us that a complete replacement would be necessary (which we had already suspected and wanted) so that all made sense. He walked us through in detail about our current system, what parts are malfunctioning, and why a complete upgrade makes the most sense financially. He also showed us pictures of our attic and the old ductwork that was torn apart and needed to be replaced. Joseph was so professional and thoughtful throughout that entire process and first time meeting. The project estimate was completely reasonable considering he would be replacing our furnace and AC unit, enlarging the air return vent, upgrading all duct work in the attic, and installing an indoor air quality filter. After some discussion, we decided that we wanted to be able to fund the replacement completely and told him that we'll be in touch when we were ready to move forward.

Fast forward to December 2021 when we finally saved up enough money. By this time, we weren't sweating from the summer heat but freezing our butts off from the winter cold! It was consistently around 50deg in our house and practically called Joseph in tears, happy and relieved that we can move forward with the installation! He came to re-inspect all of our equipment and re-quoted us based on updated costs (which we 100% expected because of the current supply issues). He also walked us through rebate options to help save money. His team came out the following week and completed the entire project in 1 day. They protected all the floors and themselves, were super friendly and professional, and completed the installation despite running into a few tricky spots. Joseph taught us how to efficiently heat our home and the ins and outs of easy maintenance. We literally celebrated that night turning the heater on and experienced actual comfort in our own home for the first time this year.

I cannot recommend Joseph enough for his professionalism, value, and overall excellent customer experience. We look forward to having him back to maintain our new HVAC system for years to come :)

1957 home in Sacramento. We bought the home recently knowing the 30 year old HVAC would need to be replaced sooner than later. Contacted Joseph Handy Man and long story short it was time to get a new unit as expected. Taking a chance we moved forward. End results: County inspection came by and apparently Joseph’s team paid so much attention to detail and used such high quality materials that it had the system running at perfect rates as if everything including the ducts were brand new. The inspector was shocked to find out that only our HVAC unit had been replaced and compared it to having a brand new home with all new parts (props to Jose on the install). Overall very happy people and it didn’t hurt that Joseph and his team were really easy to work with. Very chill and kept it real with all my options. Appreciate them very much.

I believe the tech that came out was Jose. He removed and replaced dryer vent ducting under our house with new , up to code vent ducting. He aslsosigned us up for the HVAC service they provide. He replaced condensers on the a/c unit and changed out the furnace filters. Excellent job and very professional.
