Very nice technician came out to my home to check out my mini split system to see why the thermostat was not working properly. The heater would not come up to the temperature the wireless thermostat was set at. The technician checked the system and confirmed it was not working properly. I told him the manufacturer, Mitsubishi, said the solution to the problem would be to install a wired remote thermostat.

The technician, thought doing so would solve the problem and told me he would get back to me with a quote to supply and install the wired remote thermostat.

I work in the trades, so I have a pretty good idea on what it takes to do a job. I do not have an HVAC license, so I can not buy parts from an HVAC supply house. Thus the reason I called Clean Air HVAC, a licensed, certified HVAC contractor to do the work. The retail cost of the parts, with tax, which I had previously priced out was almost $400. And the time to install the thermostat was 1 to 2 hrs. of labor. I was given a quote of $1,480 to perform the job by Sarah, the office manager.

The price seemed really high. I called and asked Sarah why it would cost over $1,000 to perform 1 to 2 hrs. of work and if I could get a price breakdown which might explain why the quote was so expensive. Sarah said the reason it was so expensive is due to the material costs and that it needed wire to install the thermostat. I tried to explain to her what the actual materials costs were and that the thermostat wire was actually included with the new thermostat.

Instead of explaining the high cost of the quote to perform the work, Sarah decided it would be easier to just hang up on me. Which she did. I called her back, just in case the call was disconnected by mistake. No one answered and the voice mail came on. I left a message asking for the owner of the company to contact me. So far, no return call.

I paid $100 for the tech to come out to my home to see what work needed to be performed. If this is how Clean Air HVAC treats their customers, I am very lucky I did not spend anymore than the $100. I read the reviews of this company before calling them to come out to my home. There were a lot of good reviews.

Possibly this is just a problem with the one employee, Sarah and not an accurate description of how this company conducts their business. However, Sarah is the first person one speaks to when contacting this business and handles the correspondence with the customers. I would suspect I am not the only customer Sarah has been rude to. The owner needs to know how his employee Sarah is treating his customers.

The Clean Air HVAC team replaced our HVAC in early January 2023. They were on time, respectful, knowledgeable and efficient at a fair price. I would like to find more businesses like them.

First off l had used another diamond certified company to maintenance my ac but it stopped working right after the visit. When l told them it stopped l was given the run around and finally they came out and just told me it was my furnace and there was nothing they can do. So l tried Clean Air and told them my situation and they came right out. Ken was the initial technician and he did a great job of checking every problem and when all didn’t work he even brought in reinforcements, another tech and with in ten minutes or so l was back up and running with cooling AIR!!!! It was just a fuse not put in right or something to that effect, either way l thank GOD for a good company who does what they say and doesn’t try to get over on customers. Will be using them and recommending from now on. Thanks again for your awesome service.

We recently had new air conditioning installed in our home. Jeremy Hunter was initial contact and he patiently answered the many questions we had. They added a new Trane system and replaced all ducts in the attic. The crew was really friendly, efficient and they were great about wearing masks. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC experts!

Dave and Chris just left after replacing my air conditioner.
Everyone from the scheduler, to the owner who gave us a quote to the guys who did the work all day in 90 degree weather were wonderful.
They rushed our service and replacement next day because of the heat wave and my wife stuck home recovering from surgery, were friendly and professional, kept everything clean and did a great job at a very reasonable price.
Highly recommended!!!
Thank you.

We are in a one story retail building in downtown Walnut Creek. Our A/C went out when it was in the 90s. We had two other HVAC companies come out and both said the unit was not repairable and needed to be replaced. We called Clean Air and Roy came out and fixed it by replacing a belt and a thermostat. He really knows what he's doing.

Roy from Clean Air HVAC replaced my heater and AC at half the cost of the other guys. I'm saving big bucks on my PG and E and the house is always at a comfy temperature. He even followed up on his work weeks after he installed it! Thanks CLEAN AIR.....you guys ROCK! 5+ stars.

My wife and I were very happy with the quick, clean and efficient service that Will provided us. He did a great job repairing and cleaning out our sewer line.

I look forward to using The Trenchless Company for all our plumbing needs in the future!

Martin H came out and did an excellent Job. He was courtious and quickly cleared the drain. He also took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. The office appointment setter also was courtious and had called me before I had even got off the computer. The Trenchless Co. was outstanding and I will call them the next time I have a plumbing problem
