The people were friendly and professional. Came out exactly on time. The A/C now works great. The only problem was the cost. It was kind of pricey for the amount of time spent and work done. Two men, about one hour, cleaned units, replaced cap, replenished coolant for $460. I was expecting a couple of hundred dollars.

After further review, and talking with an out of town friend who is in the business, he convinced me that not only the prices were in line, they were lower than most A/C businesses would charge. I did not realize the cost of coolant and materials used for the rest of the job costs as much as it does.

My air conditioning still works great. I might add that I have two A/C units, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. Both units had to have the filters cleaned and coolant filled along with other materials and parts. Also, the owner and his assistant were very knowledgeable, competent, and explained the work done thoroughly. As I said before, they arrived on time and did explain the work and cost before beginning the job. I am now convinced that the cost was appropriate and would rate them a five star.

I am not a customer of this company, but I felt like I should leave a positive review based off a unique experience I encountered today. I am a Service Tech myself for a local HVAC company and today I was at a call where the customer had requested us. While on site and in the middle of a repair, a Gentleman, Service Tech from this company was also requested, so he showed up. Awkward situation for all people involved but needless to say I was impressed at the way the man handled the situation gracefully and wasn’t rude to the person that had double booked. (Huge waste of time and money for the company and possibly the tech). Pretty solid in my opinion and that’s why I am leaving them a 5 star review. Integrity is everything and I witnessed that. It’s good to know there are still great companies out there doing things right. Keep it going man, and Above All Staff. 🤘🏼

The A/C we inherited with the house a year ago has only blown cool air...not cold, so the temperatures would hover around 80 degrees regardless of how long it ran. Other repair services were either too busy to return calls or would return them with quotes which included only checking the system. After several go-arounds and a disappointing experience with the service offered out of Home Depot, I gave "Above All" a try based on reviews. Glad I did.

Pete and his colleague came out, demonstrated both the strengths and weaknesses of my system...really educated me so I could make some competent decisions. We agreed that the system had another couple of years left in it, so coils were cleaned, air leaks pointed out, meters came out to test the system and refrigerant added (due to a slow leak which they corrected with a new cap). The system began blowing cold air...really for the first time since we moved in a year ago. This was all done at a very reasonable price for performing only the work necessary to get the system running optimally. The system now runs for a short time now, reaching its target temp and then shutting down. In comparison, before it would simply not shut off and would keep running and struggling to lower temperatures. Costs were through the roof.

Thanks to all the previous reviewers for helping me find these guys and hope my small experience will give others some peace of mind that these guys are as honest and dependable as they come.

Unethical, disrespectful, uncoordinated, incompetent, unprofessional, unreasonable, irresponsible, overpriced

Working with Above All has been a nightmare. Having been referred to me from a trusted source, I still can’t get over the fact that these scam artists get away with abusing their customers. What I experienced was an emotional irrational boss (Pete) and a technician (Andy) who would bold face lie to me and refuse to do their job in an attempt to con me into paying tens of thousands of dollars unnecessarily.

My Story: The central heating was malfunctioning. They came to diagnose and said it was a circuit board. They replaced it. The system ran for a couple days, then the same set of symptoms appeared. When they came back, they stated they could not determine the source of the problem and that the only thing to do is replace the entire system which would be over $10,000. When I insisted they complete their diagnosis and determine the source of the problem, they stated they could not.
That same day, I had a local technician come out and they immediately found that a motor was failing, which explained the symptoms. It would stop working when it would overheat. This technician stated that the board that was replaced by Above All was likely to be fine because if it were bad, they whole unit would not work at all.

Unethical and/or incompetent– They attempted to con me into buying a whole unit at $10,000 when all that was needed was a $100 motor. To give them the benefit of the doubt, we would have to concluded that they failed to diagnose the problem being the motor on four different visits (1st [diagnosis – bad circuit board], 2nd [day of repair], 3rd [diagnosis – bad thermostat], 4th [diagnosis - entire system bad]). The thermostat was fine by the way.

Disrespectful – Pete spoke with anger and raised his voice at me over the phone when he last called me. He also had the habit of speaking over me when I tried to ask questions, object to him, or offer information. The technician Andy would use his words to distort the truth and make things seem like he was doing more than he was and the problems were bigger than they were.

Uncoordinated – One time, Pete sent the technicians at the wrong time on the wrong day. The technicians began working without my presence despite being told not to.

Unprofessional and Irresponsible – They would not acknowledge any mistakes they made, despite all the evidence. Pete refused to take any blame and instead accused others as being incompetent (the renters, the property manager, and even his technicians).

Unreasonable – After having the system fixed by the second technician company I wished to negotiate with Above All for reimbursement. They rejected any solution involving any sort of refund and what they offered was to do a cleaning.

Overpriced – after speaking with other technicians, I realized what they charged for their work was greatly overpriced. I supposed it is easy to take advantage of customers who are desperate to get warmth back into a cold house during the holidays.

This review is LONG overdue!!!
Pete was awesome. I left a message in the evening and he contacted me first thing in the morning and was at our house later that evening. Pete is one of the most honest business owners I know!!! He is upfront and tells you exactly what is wrong. No surprises!!
Thankfully in our case we just needed to clean our system once a month and change our filter😊😊😊
I highly recommend Above All for any of your air conditioning needs!!!

I have never written a review but I have to say Above All Heating and Air went above and beyond. I just had a new system installed and cant give enough praise how professional their crew is. From first talking with Pete about the replacement, I was never pressured he explained everything and made sure I understood. The house had the original AC and furnace built in 88. I knew I had to replace the units at some time and now was the time. The team that Pete sent was professional and you couldn't ask for a better service. This company has my business moving forward.

I was so happy with these guys! They came out, fixed the problem and my house was nice a cool again. I felt they were honest and gave me a very fair price. They even gave me suggestions to help maintain and keep my air conditioner units running smoothly. I would recommend this company because of their good attitudes, reasonable prices and efficient work.
