I obtained several estimates on replacing my AC before deciding on VAR based upon the thorough explanation from Steve, very competitive pricing, as well as excellent references from my neighbor who had used them in the past. My house is older and all the duct work needed to be replaced as well. I felt I was well advised by Steve on how best to proceed. The installation done by Jeromy and Francisco was prompt, professional, neat, and I have to say it was a pleasure having them in my home for a few days. (They even helped me with my new puppy's accidents!) I also had solar tubes installed in the roof to add ambient lighting and they did an outstanding job with the placement and installation. I recommend them without reservation.
I called VAR to get a quote for a replacement AC unit as mine was going to cost over $2000 to fix. Simon came out and was able to get the work needed warrantied. He actually cost his company the cost of a new unit sale, that level of honesty unheard of these days. I saved $10,000 thanks to VAR and will be a lifelong customer from here on out. Thank you VAR!!!
I called Valley Air Conditioning and Repair today because my air conditioner was not working and my home warranty company couldn't send someone out for several days. I am so grateful to VAR because the temperatures was to reach 110 degrees, I have an elderly family member with health conditions, and I was currently on quarantine for Covid-19. The repairman Petey arrived in less than an hour and he diagnosed the problem and repaired it within half an hour. What more can I say... don't hesitate to call Valley Air Conditioning and Repair.
Valley air has kept our 13 year old unit running like new with ongoing preventive maintenance and by cleaning out the heat exchanger. Their dispatcher is always friendly and works around my complicated schedule. Their technicians are the friendliest and most well mannered contractors I have ever used. I won’t go ANYWHERE ELSE!
Thank you VAR for being ready to help us on very short notice Saturday, 6/4/16. The original service rep for the repair company left but returned with a secondary idea and it worked., My wife and I appreciate your empathy and willingness to assist. That's cone of the reasons we have you for our bi-annual tuneups!
Beware of these people. Had my winter maintenance done on my heater the other day and was Told it had a carbon monoxide leak and they would have to red flag it and shut the unit OFF and then was told I would need to buy a new UNIT, even though there was no visual crack in the heat exchanger. I was furious and wanted the supervisor to come out and look at it. To make a long story short. I called another company and told them what was going on and they said something did not sound right and wanted to come out, for FREE, to check out my heater. Well, they came out and he told me NOTHING IS WRONG with your heater and there is NO CARBON MONOXIDE leak. My unit still has a few more years left on it. PLEASE, if these people inform you that you need to purchase a new unit please, please, please GET A SECOND OPINION
Matt, was very professional he made sure that everything was done and perfect before leaving. he goes over and beyond for us. We can always count on him.
Our system wasn't blowing cold air and line was freezing up. Called them out to check and do the routine maintenance. They diagnosed our system as having a bad compressor and said we would need to replace entire unit. Since Valley Air no longer works with home warranty service and believing we had a bad compressor, we had another company come to check it under home warranty after having to wait 3 days in the heat with no AC. They found the problem to be a leaky $10 valve and low on freon. They also commented that this was obvious and the compressor was fine. Other company replaced the valve and recharged the unit. Its been working perfectly since.
I took my concerns to Valley about the original diagnosis and eventually made contact with a manager who I explained the whole ordeal to. In the end, they chose to stick to their original findings and insist we have a bad compressor. However, it is working normally.
This may be a good company with good/competent workers but if you have issues with their service, beware. They may stick to their guns even when they are wrong and given every opportunity to make it right. I can't recommend this company for service. Im sure my problem could have been solved by replacing the entire system and $5k later..but fortunantly we didn't have to go that route.
