Southbay Heating and Air Conditioning

Based on other ratings, I chose because they were the closest to my property. While initially going for troubleshooting my furnace, Dennis did inspect my entire system and noticed several problems. I decided to go with a new system, but I will admit I went off of impulse to ensure my family was good, especially being active duty military. I did go with the premium setup they had because it fit what I was looking for if I were to get a new system and made no sense on going lower on quality especially since family and health are important factors for quality of life. While I have no regrets with the purchase, I will say definitely do your homework. This isn’t to say I had a bad experience, as I feel I got great quality in a short period of time, but do feel it was higher on cost up front, but keep in mind quality, time, and experience do play a factor. I will say when I did approve the work, they started almost immediately and had the new equipment within the space in less than half a day. Afterwards, it did take 2 days for the furnace install and 1 days for the A/C (total 4.5 days work to include duct cleaning) but overall I do notice a considerable difference from my old to new system. The technicians who did the install were prompt and professional and did a great job with one minor exception. I was not a fan of how they did the attic cover change due to having to make the area bigger for the new equipment, but they did their best to restore it. Definitely recommend if you are in the market for a new system or needing repairs especially in the South Bay Area.

Beware, I had to attach this guy's bond as the job he did was so poor the work had to be torn out and reworked by another company. At the time of my installation he had no workman compensation insurance.

Dennis Leon was very professional and informative. He identified my heating system issue, ordered the necessary replacement parts, and executed the repairs. He provided helpful maintenance guidance which I plan on following moving forward, in an effort to extend the lifespan of my system. Southbay’s prices are staggeringly high which is why I did not give Southbay a five star rating.

Thought that we should write to say how satisfied we are with the job that South Bay Heating and Air Conditioning did at our 50-year-old home in the Southern part of San Diego. Didn’t want to spend a fortune because we didn’t have that much money. Other companies proposed new units well above $20,000. Thought that we would see what a local Chula Vista company could do, and we are glad that we did. Dennis came to our house and gave us several options. We decided on one that was about $15,000. They were on the job right away and finished within a week. Some 1970’s houses built without air conditioning have old metal vents in the walls which must be replaced with new ceiling vents. Rather than leave the old wall vents and a tacky job, they brought in someone to drywall over the old vent holes and left the job looking great. We just need to paint the walls and we will be done. Could not have asked for a better job. Dennis is a very personable guy. We enjoyed working with Dennis and recommend him and his company.

Great service and a wonderful job done in a short amount of time. Very professional and quality work. Carlos was so polite and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work before he left and even checked on our water heater before he left to make sure it was good. I needed some serious work done on my heater in my condo. Southbay Heating and Air Conditioning responded to my call quickly and had someone over to help the next day. They were very thorough and professional and even identified another issue with my ducts that we hadn't noticed. They even took a look at a plumbing issue and gave some advice. Talk about above and beyond! Anyway, my main issue was resolved that day and my ductwork completed within 2 days after the initial appointment.
