Dennis @ SB Heating & Air had to really battle with the thermostat. He fixed my wall furnace first & it’s about 30 years old. He left my house & came back 3 or 4 times that day until he found a compatible thermostat. He was just as concerned for my 93 y/o grandmother as I was. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, punctual, tenacious & caring. If anyone needs any heating, air, or electrical work done, I highly suggest using SB Heating & Air. He also saved us at least $1,600. I called 4 other companies that wanted to charge me approximately $175 just to assess the job, non refundable, & also said their was no way to fix my old furnace & I needed a brand new appliance & pay over $ 150 per hour for repair service! They cancelled an appointment and called me stating they had emergency services to provide. This is understandable. However, the appointment was rescheduled to a later date and they didn't show or even call. A complete waste of my time on 2 different days. Lack of staff is no excuse. Just call people and let them know what is going on instead of not saying anything.

Dennis at Southbay Heating and AC was very easy to work with and had the best price for a 3 ton unit after shopping around. He was always on time, and explained the entire process. I live in a mobile and he was able to install on short notice. Unit was installed in less than a day. Never felt for a second he was trying to work me. Very honest, I will recommend him to anyone that wants to deal directly with business owner and will not rip you off.

My AC was frosted over on the unit outside all the way to the hvac in the attic and began leaking into my daughter's room. This happened a few years ago and we used a different company that my homewarranty recommended. All that company ended up doing was re-adjusting my drip pan and adding freon. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes on top of showing up late. This time, I went against my home warranty's recommendation of the same company who couldn't even send someone to do the initial inspection until 3 days later and called Southbay heating and air conditiong after looking at reviews. They responded in a timely manner and sent someone out that day to assess the problem. He did a thorough examination of the unit both outdoor and indoor and gave his recommendations. He even recommended a company for the water damage to my daughter's ceiling.The next afternoon a tech was at our house fixing our AC and installing an upgraded sensor better than the one we currently had. We were so elated to have the job done in a timely manner and done RIGHT the first time that we will not be going back to the old company ever again. Overall the entire experience was amazing and I would definitely use them again in the future.

After starting my home's heater for the first time of the season it decided to stop working.
Called Southbay Heating and Air and with luck Dennis let me know he was able to come the same evening.
He arrived on time and immediately got to work on figuring out my furnace's problem. Thankfully it was a relatively easy fix on my well aged system.
We spoke for a bit on the condition of my system and my concerns about its age and very poor efficiency as well. He gave me his honest opinions on my system and reassured me of the benefits I have been reading about for newer high efficiency systems.
All and all I was extremely pleased with the service and knowledge shared by Dennis of Southbay Heating and AC...and without hesitation will be suggesting them to my friends and family if they ever need HVAC repair.

Dennis made the experience very seamless. He came to assist us with our AC unit just 2 days after calling. Also within the window they gave. He returned the next day to clean our vents-something we’ve been meaning to do for a while. So happy to have it all handled within 2 short visits.

Our Heater broke, when we called Dennis, he was reffered through a friend and were amazed with his service, got here on time, explained me the services needed and gave me a reasonable quote. I had a problem with my heater so I called yesterday around 4:30 pm and I was told the owner would call me back to schedule the appointment…No call that evening. I called back this morning at 10 AM and the person I spoke with said, “You didn’t get a call back? Ok, I’ll send him another message to call you.” It’s about 5 hrs later and still no call back. I hate giving someone a bad review, and understand they may be busy, but at least a phone call to know when they could service it would have been appreciated.

Highly professional to deal with the HVAC system. Technicians are skilled and professional and are capable of doing excellent installation and repair. My worked experience was so positive with them and their skill was appreciable and impressive. Dependable service at a reasonable price.
