    Called them after reading reviews on Yelp and here and the experience I had reflects all the positive reviews! Our issue was non urgent (ice building up in freezer) so it was scheduled a few weeks out. The repair person identified the issue and explained how to easily avoid it occuring again in the future. I also asked him to check if the way we cleaning the filter was adequate since it's a bit tough to get to. He did. As he was putting his things away I asked if he also did furnace repair, explaining that we'd never had a furnace where the filter was at the intake vent and reusable, so concerned we weren't cleaning it correctly. He stopped to look at it and confirmed we were cleaning it fine and what to look for when/if we need to replace the filter. And extra step that was reassuring to us.
    Definitely would call and use again.

    I would give Galaxy 6 stars if I could.

    Galaxy came out to troubleshoot the dryer, dishwasher and water heater at a rental unit. First of all, it was nice to find a repair service who can do all three. All the other ones I asked couldn't do the water heater, but Galaxy has the expertise to do it too. After their diagnosis, The water heater and dishwasher had to be replaced, but they said they could repair the dryer. I went ahead with having them do the dryer repair and water heater replacement (the dishwasher replacement wasn't done by them since it just needed to be installed by wherever you get it from). After the dryer was repaired, my tenant shared that it was still not drying. Galaxy was quick to come back out for a follow up visit. After that visit, they told me that they have done all they could go, and it's probably best to replace the dryer. My first thought was "why didn't you guys tell me that in the first place? Now I have spend a few hundred dollars on repairs only to have to pay more for replacement" Then without prompting, Galaxy offered to reimburse me for the repair. My mood immediately turned around, and I told them that they have just earned my continued business and recommendation to others. The check arrived a few days later in the mail. One more thing to add is that I really like their invoice and payment process. It's all electronic, and it was really easy for me to pay without having to be there or arrange to drop off payment to my tenant ahead of time. I will definitely do business with them again.

    Incompetent! They came twice to fix my furnace that was blowing cold air after 5 minutes of heat. Both times were a week of waiting for them to come. They changed me for both visits, despite not fixing the problem the first time.

    Both times they didn't stick around long enough to see if the furnace was still short cycling or why. My furnace was missing its filter completely, and their guy didn't even notice!

    Meanwhile I was trying to figure out how to keep my infant daughter warm in a house without heat in December. After the second time the furnace started only blowing cold air, non-stop. It was a nightmare!

    I only found out about the missing filter after I called in another company, who fixed everything right away same day.

    I can say only good words about Swift guys and their business. This 5-star review is well deserved and I’m glad I saved my time and chose these guys! My GE refrigerator was not cooling. The technician who came to our house the next day was Ivan. He is very polite and professional. He diagnosed the issue within minutes. He knew exactly what was needed to be done. He came back in two days and fixed it, now it’s working again. Thank you!

    I called early on a Saturday afternoon for repair of our GE stacked dryer, which had suddenly stopped turning on only a few weeks after the 1 year manufacturer's warranty expired. We were tired of waiting for 1 month for a reply from an appliance repair "hero", and after seeing many negative reviews of that company's poor customer service, we decided to seek an alternate repair company. Galaxy actually answered their phone (unlike most other companies) and scheduled for Monday afternoon, which I was thrilled with. But then they called back a few hours later to say they had time to come the same day. Robert, the repairman, not only checked out the dryer, but repaired it within one hour! He was phenomenal, even offering to clean up after himself. Galaxy is based in Berkeley and repairs appliances, furnaces, HVAC and more. We will be referring to our neighbors for sure!

    I called Swift Appliance Repair last week and explained my issue with the oven. My frigidaire oven was not working. One of technicians happened to be in the neighborhood, so in about an hour a technician already was inspecting my oven. He found the issue and came back 2 days later, which is pretty fast considering ordering the parts from stores. Reasonably priced, professional and pleasant guy. I found my new number one repairman

    Absolutely awful experience. Sent a poorly trained technician twice to fix the furnace, failed twice. Finally sent a supervisor to fix the whole mess. Only use as a last resort.

    I have Samsung microwave which stopped working. I asked them for a quote and they told me straight ahead that it is better to replace my microwave because it is not worth to fix it. Appreciate your honesty guys!
