Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling

Our Takagi on-demand water heater, having worked flawlessly for the past five years, began shutting down for some 3-digit error code. It would work fine after a shutdown and restart, but something my DIY skills couldn’t deal with. We called Nahman Plumbing, and they sent a very polite, friendly, and efficient plumber/technician over, who cleaned, flushed, and did a complete “tune-up” on the device, and advised us on what the maintenance schedule should be. Excellent service!!

I needed a shower valve replaced urgently. I called Albert Nahman Plumbing and they were able to send a tech the following day. Chris Hassett arrived on time as scheduled. He was professional, courteous, and informative. He explained the details of the work to be done and proceeded to complete the work. I was very pleased with my experience and won't hesitate to call them if I ever need help again.

Victor quickly and very cleverly figured out what had gone wrong with our newly installed kitchen faucet. He also figured out why the dishwasher had suddenly stopped getting hot water. Now they both work perfectly. Kudos!

The quote to fix a 15$ pipe was $705 dollars. Yes I asked them to secure the pedestal sink back to the wall. But still that price was outrageous. Maybe they think with the 95$ fee to come and just give an estimate will force people to say yes to their outrageous price$. Gave this company a chance and I will never be coming back or referring them to people looking for a plumber. Took me 15 minutes to do the whole job by myself and I have zero plumbing knowledge just was smart enough to use YouTube. Albert Nahman Plumbing is a scam. I hope this review saves you from having to deal with these greedy people.

Mr. Holmes arrived early within the time window and immediatly got to the heart of the matter that concerned us. Unfortunately, the fix required replacement of the thermostat ($703, ouch!) but now we can enjoy the A/C unit with warm days approaching. Excellent service!

I want to commend technician, Stuart Holmes as well as the office staff at Albert Nahman Plumbing and Heating! The young woman who took my call was very polite, articulate and professional. Stuart the technician was very knowledgeable and polite and punctual. He knew exactly what was going on and fixed the problem at no charge! I have a 26+ year old gas furnace on its last legs. He presented all the options of further repair or replacement. He explained everything clearly and forwarded all estimates. I feel confident in their company and look forward to moving forward.

I had a positive experience with a long overdue faucet repair. I had an appointment made for the next day, but due to a cancellation I was very happy to have same day service. Steve M. showed up and was very careful in my home, using shoe covers and making sure the worksite was cleaned up. I had a challenging job because I requested to keep my faucet which is original to my house, and it had rusted at some awful place where it made it a real job to get the old faucet out. He provided me options, and explained what it could cost to replace the faucet vs a possibly unpredictable repair. He gave me accurate estimates and my project was completed at the anticipated cost. Steve stuck with the challenge and was able to salvage my faucet, and made sure I was happy with the work before he left. I would be happy to have him work on my next project.

The technicians at Albert Nahman have been helping us to maintain and improve our 109 year old Berkeley home for several years. This month, Nicholas made a variety of repairs to our waste water pipes and then removed an approximate 50 year old shower stall and replaced it with new one including new shower fixtures. All this took about 2 days. I marvel at the speed and high quality of the work all done in a very professional manner.

The hot water valve on two of the showers of my remodeled house was producing cold to lukewarm water, so the mixing valves needed to be adjusted. These mixing valves consist of several parts including covers and cartridges, and adjusting them so that the shower produces hot water is not as easy as it may appear. The plumber from Albert Nahman spent over one hour working on both valves overall. The first shower valve was relatively easy, but the second one was a little trickier. After a few tries the second shower was producing hot water. Since I hadn't been using the showers that much but now had tenants moving into those rooms in the immediate future, it was imperative for the hot water to be working.

We called the company and they were able to send out a repairman the next day. The repairman was experienced and knowledgeable. He examined the whole system and from my description of the problem he knew what to test right away. He found two parts not working. He had one on his truck but had to order the other. He charged a reasonable price and said he would try to return the next day to finish the job . Okay so far.
