    Gundlach's has been taking care of all our home's plumbing and heating & A/C needs for the last 3 years. Always professional, always on time. Customer service from office staff to service technicians is exceptional.

    Dan T. made a service call because the Carrier AC/Heat Pump would not go into defrost. Dan T. traced on the electronics and determined he need to call Carrier tech support. Tech support reviewed units wiring diagram and found a missing connection, possibly disconnected and miss-wired at earlier service I had done. Once connected defrost mode triggers when it is supposed to. He ran a test and unit performed correctly. Dan T. is easy going and gave attention to detail that was required to solve this problem that was really hidden from view and unique. I would recommend Dan T. to anyone needing heat AC/pump service. I am exceedingly pleased with his perseverance.

    Since putting in our pool, we have to turn in an annual test of our backflow prevention assembly to the Kern County Public Health Services Department. When I get the notice, I call Gundlach's, they come out within a day or two and test it. They are quick and professional, with great customer service.

    Dan T. completed our spring servicing of our air condition system. He was thorough in covering everything in the system. He was neat, using booties when he entered the house. He changed out both filters, went into the attic to look at the condenser and also went outside to check on the compressor. He documented all his readings and findings on the inspection sheets. He noted that the refrigerant was a little low and asked if I wanted to charge the system. It was 13 years since we had charged the system and so it made sense that we could be a little low after all these years. He went over all the findings and cleaned up before getting my signature and leaving.

    Called and they were out in less than an hour to diagnose a heater issue. Repair was complete just as fast. Daniel (service tech) was very friendly and informative. Would recommend them to any one.

    Mike was early, he explained what he was doing and cleaned up after the work was done. Very knowledgeable and professional. We have also had other work done by Gundlach's before and they do good a good job. Mike and Gundlach's are keepers.

    I will never do business with this company again. I find them to be very unethical. The recent call was for a problem I was having with my toilet. I watched the guy as he loosened the hose, squirted out some water after taking out the filter from the hose and reconnecting it. It took him less than a half hour and he wanted to charge me nearly $200 for this job. He replaced no parts, but his rationale was he had to work a little hard than he initially thought. He initially told me it would be $49 for the service call and if it was what he thought it was, it would be another $49. It was what he thought, but he told me because he had to work a little hard, he would have to charge more for the labor. He even tried to create another problem by telling me there would be future problems because water was leaking around one of the screws. Yes water was leaking, because he loosened it and didn't tighten it. This is the second time I called them and potential problems were created by the technician. Never again.

    Unfortunately, my elderly parents purchased an HVAC Unit from Gundlach's. Although the purchase was made now over a couple of years ago, I found out from my elderly parent's recently after the fact, that they were NOT apprised of all the rebates they were entitled to of @ least $4000 or more so they paid FULL price of $10,000.

    When I purchased my own AC Unit a year before from a very reputable AC company, I ended up paying $3,800 for a 16 SEER (excellent) Unit after all my rebates, which the AC company had graciously apprised me of and even filled out all of the rebate paper work for me too. My parents were also sold things they did not need. I know they (Gundlach's) had to know obviously, that the rebates from the State of CA and PG&E etc., were not "activated" by my parents, and I wonder if the huge rebates were "redeemed" by anyone there at Gundlach's instead. Hopefully, you all (Gundlach's) there did not cash them in for yourselves. BEWARE of this shady place! I will tell everyone that I can not to do business there. Also see the YELP Reviews in regard to some 80-yr.-old people.

    I feel you took advantage of an elderly couple, but "lucky" for the Gundlach's company, now too much time has probably gone by for me to get an attorney on behalf of my parents. Again, it is very disturbing that this level of dishonesty towards an elderly couple was committed. People, make sure you check for and get your rebates from the State of CA and PG&E which, they are still paying out to consumers to this day.

    Problems with Product/Service

    We had a sales man come to our home from Gundlach's and sold us on work that we wanted done. In his sales pitch he promised us that after the work was complete we would receive a green certification that would increase the value of our home and a rebate from PG&E for almost 3,000 dollars. The... work was completed just about a year ago and we still have not received any certification and the rebate check was only in the amount of 1,700 dollars. We were told that they had messed up the filing of the rebate twice and when it was rejected by the processing agency they let it sit in their office for two weeks the first time and a month the second before we were notified. Finally on the third attempt the were able to file out the paperwork correctly and submit it. The problem is that if they had filed it correctly the first time we would have gotten the full rebate we were promised. Now we are getting ready to sell the home and the green certification we were promised has never arrived.
