We had someone come out to fix our unit on a Thursday, even though we were told they were coming Wednesday, and they said they needed to order a part that we need and they would come and fix it on the following Tuesday once the part comes. We wait and Tuesday comes and they delay us until Wednesday because they “lost the part.” We kept getting push back with no ac in our house forcing us to stay at a hotel while my grandma is in town visiting. Wednesday comes and we get no response making US reach out to get informed about what is happening. They tell us they are working on reordering the part but it won’t come until the next week because of the holiday weekend. I understand them losing the part is not completely on them but they were not very helpful other than that. They were going to let us sit in that house with no AC for an extra week because of THEIR screw up. The absolute LEAST they could do for us was get us a hotel for the weekend until they get OUR part that THEY lost. In the mean time my step dad was able to simply fix the ac unit himself instead of paying $1500 for poor services.

They called me first thing Monday morning and had a technician here by 10 am. He diagnosed the issue quickly, but because of the age of my unit, did not have all the parts on hand to fix it immediately. He was back quickly and had everything up and running within an hour. He was polite and professional, and he answered all of my questions. Again, I was highly satisfied with Desert Star, and I would definitely hire them again and recommend their services.

Called for service and was rejected by another company in Tucson, they were "too busy" to come help. 2-10 then assigned me another company, Desert Star Air Conditioning & Plumbing, and I'm so glad they did. The next day a technician was assigned to me and immediately arrived at 8am, before we had to endure another day without air conditioning in Arizona. Jim was absolutely amazing. He was professional, friendly, and explained each step of the way what he was doing to get us back up and running. On top of that, he went out of the way and checked our entire system and made sure everything was in working order before he left. I have been with 2-10 for 4 years and have had many technicians from many other companies out at my house, and Jim was by far the best I have ever dealt with. I really can't say enough about what a great job he did, how friendly he was, how professional, and how happy I am to be back up and running again. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company (ask for Jim, trust me) to anyone who needs their AC repaired. If I ever need a future repair, this is the company I'm going to trust to fix my issues. As my luck would have it I got this company for both properties. Alyss is very polite and sweet and worked quickly to get the diagnostic scheduled. Had it scheduled for both properties the next day and they were fixed at both my home and the rental within 2 days. Ron was a great tech and had our home running same day while he waited for parts and the rental would have been running same day but we had to wait for the warranty company to approve. They even worked with me on payment for the rental seeing as though I use that income to pay for extras to fix. Absolutely wonderful company and crew! Highly reccomend!
I highly recommend Desert Star Air Conditioning. Our old AC would literally be on all day and it wouldn’t cool below 83 degrees. It had been running like this for three summers. We finally decided it was time to replace it. We were stressed thinking the process would be a nightmare. Desert Star’s staff were professional, reassuring and knowledgeable. They made getting a new AC worry free. We replaced our old AC with a top of the line unit for a great price. We are so happy with our new unit and the service we got.

I called them and they sent Desert Star. They told me (Chris) I didn't needed a capacitor, nor refrigerant, nor compressor. They replaced the coils and the unit works perfectly. Chris said I should get my money back. Being from the New York area, I laughed and said "fat chance". I called and got half. The point of this story is that Desert Star is competent, honest and professional. Chris was superb and Elise in the office is excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. 10 stars from me.
I am so grateful for this company and my new AC unit. My husband and I upgraded from swamp to AC and Desert Star Air Conditioning offered us the best price (out of all the other quotes we received). They worked within our budget and also gave us recommendations of other products. They were just overall amazing. On time and even stayed until 10pm because we were having an issue with the fuse. They didn't rush to hurry up and get out of there because it was late. They wanted to make sure it was working properly and efficiently. The other thing, they picked up the mess they made. They swept up their mess, put the heavy garbage in their trailer and were off. It was like they weren't here (minus they new AC unit). Overall LOVES them.
Great customer service from the first phone contact with the office to the service call. They called within 15 minutes of the home warranty agency providing my number and they had their staff out the very next day. He took the extra step of giving tips on how to more efficiently use the digital A.C. panel before completing the fix on the roof unit. This was the second provider sent by the home warranty people, after abysmal service from the first provider. Wish they would have used Desert Star first.
I called this company for typical routine maintenance and the tech broke the low pressure valve as he took off the cap and all sudden all the Freon was vented out. He claims that the previous maintenance tech had incorrectly service the unit and left the valve without the core piece and just put the cap on. The truth is that this unit was never maintained since it was installed and has been working just fine all this time with no problem whatsoever. I wanted to service it cuz I was planning to put the house on sale so as the new buyer have assurance the unit works just fine. After they broke it, they want to repair their damage and offering me a discounted price of $800 to fix their own fault. They claim their normal price is over $1000 so they know they had broke it and just offering discount to make up for it.
I highly advice to stay away from this company if you want to keep your equipment working and protected.
I have a 2-10 warranty on my home. The AC went out and I submitted a service request. Desert Star was assigned my request. Excellent communication and true concern was what I received when I was put in touch with Allyse at Desert Star. The first call they sent Jim out. He diagnosed the problem and submitted a report that same day. Allyse got right on it and within 24 hours was back with me letting me know what 2-10 had determined. Allyse then ordered the part and got my AC repair on the schedule as quickly as possible. Cesar came out. A man of few words - up on the roof he went. 2 1/2 hours later, he came down and said, "Turn the AC on." Well! - That did it! Problem solved, AC is running great. Thank you to all at Desert Star. Excellent service! They work hard - but make it look easy. I will refer them with confidence.
