I had a leaking toilet with water leaking from tank into bowl and the toilet wasting water constantly refilling.
home warrany company had sent a plumber out that thought it was the rubber flapper being worn out.. they replaced the rubber flapper but that didn’t stop the leak. Called the home warranty company and they sent a 2nd plumber out.. King Plumbing, to fix the toilet. When the plumbers arrived I explained that another plumber had already been out and replaced the rubber flapper and that didn’t work, but King Plumbing said the only reason the tank could leak into the bowl was the rubber flapper so they replaced again and left. Before they even got down the stairs to their truck the toilet was refilling itself again because of the leak. I asked that they please come back in which they did and then, still saying that the rubber flapper is the only possible reason for the leak, they sanded down the flapper valve but that didn’t work either so they left unable to fix the toilet. I called King Plumbing and spoke with the manager Terry and he said he would send a different plumber out from their company the next day at 3PM. They never showed up and didn’t call. When I called Terry to ask why he said the home warranty cancelled the appointment and it was their responsibility to notify me, not King Plumbing, but this seemed strange since it was King Plumbing who set the appointment in the first place. When I called the home warranty company, they explained that it was the exact opposite that happened.. King Plumbing had cancelled the appointment because their plumbers said there was no leak in the toilet and absolutely nothing wrong with it. I explained to the warranty company that this was completely untrue and the toilet was never fixed and leaking like crazy. This finally got resolved when they had to send a DIFFERENT PLUMBER out because King Plumbing said they couldn’t do the job. The new plumber came and had the toilet fixed in less than 15 minutes. Turns out King Plumbing was wrong in their assertion that a rubber flapper is the only possible reason for a leaking toilet.. the problem was the flush value and once replaced the toilet stopped leaking and was fine. What was frustrating about this experience is that this was a simple repair with inexpensive parts, and took very little time. It was a disappointing experience to work with King Plumbing and felt their was no sense of problem solving, taking ownership over the repair, not showing up, lying to the warranty company, etc.. I see that there are a lot of other positive reviews below so perhaps my experience was an anomaly but needed to write this review to share with others nonetheless.

Luis came out to my home to perform a diagnostic check of my HVAC system as part of an SRP maintenance program. Luis was prompt, thorough and very detailed in his review of my system. My HVAC system is 20 years old, and currently working well but will need to be upgraded in the next year or so. Based upon my experience with Luis, I will be contacting King when it is time to replace my units.
