Back in 2020 I had a leak in my evaporator coil (at the time it was a 13 year old unit, yes a little old) the first two companies I had come out and instantly said I need a new unit. Dan and his Son came out replace the evaporator coil and had the unit up and running like as if it was new. They didn't try to force / sell me on a new unit, they saw the problem and fixed it without hesitation. If they tell you that you need a new unit it is most likely that you really do and the old unit is beyond repair or would cost just as much to fix.
