We have used Tipton for 3 years now and they are hands down the most honest, hardest working company I have ever used. They tell me what's wrong, charge me a fair price and are usually able to fix whatever problems I may have the very same day I call them. We had a new a/c unit pur in a few months ago and part of it broke due to manufacturing error. Even though it wasn't their fault they still covered the cost to have everything repaired so I didn't have to fight the carrier warranty people.

I called Tipton right when they opened and they had someone at my place not even half an hour later. Their service man (Mr. James if I recall correctly) diagnosed the problem (capacitor), replaced the part, and had my AC unit working again all in about 5 or so minutes. Overall great experience! The price was well below what competitors quoted me, their staff was incredibly kind, and they were very knowledgeable about the issue and unit. I highly recommend and will be using them again for all my heating and cooling needs.
I called Tipton to track down an issue where my HVAC system was heating instead of cooling and using too much electricity. The technician they sent out was on time and very helpful. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem as being related to the thermostat wiring, and had everything fixed in less than an hour. System is running correctly now. Couldn't be happier!
Fantastic service. My heater wasn't working with the outside temp being 7 and inside 55 and dropping. After contacting them a service rep was here in about an hour and had it fixed within 15 minutes. It's refreshing to deal with a heating/AC company that is honest and does great work at a very reasonable price.
Our AC went out, Called tipton after seeing they have free estimates because we wanted a price range before we committed since we knew what the issue was already (bad fan). Tech comes out within an hour, great so far. Comes down from our attic with a piece of the fan reaffirming what we already knew. Said he would look around for a part and call us later to schedule a fix if he found the part. Left less than 10 minutes after arrival with no other communication. No price quote, no promises of even being able to deliver services, no commitment whatsoever on either end. Nothing. Got a call from the office half an hour later stating we needed a new motor, new fan, new capacitor. (Tech didn’t mention anything but fan to us, and never once turned on the unit to check the motor - i was home at all times and since the fan was busted it sounded like a thunderstorm when it was on so i WOULD know). But no one had the parts available so they’d call us if they found the parts. I called back 2-3 hours later for clarification because I still hadn’t heard back and it was HOT in my home, and the next day was going to be even hotter. 3 young kids in the home. Said they could possibly order the part but they were still waiting to see if anyone local had the parts. I asked how long that would be - oh at minimum of 2 days once they ordered it. Called another company for a second opinion because at this point it doesn’t sound promising that it can even be fixed and thank god I did - motor was/is absolutely fine. Only new fan and compacitor was needed and guess what - it was in stock! Completely fixed by other guy including drive time into town and back for the part in 2 hours. Finally AFTER it was fixed (read 5-6 hours after initial encounter with them) Tipton calls us back to state they could order parts with our approval. Sorry, not only did you try to pull one over on a young mom home alone and get more money than the issue at hand, but you clearly did have the appropriate parts available to you. We’re fixed now but thank you. Days later we receive a BILL for our free estimate. When we call to inquire what the bill was for they agreed to drop it by 50% for a travel fee because since we didn’t use their services we “owe” them. (Also, live like 5 miles up the road from them so that’s excessive still) not to mention We had every intention of using their services until we got a runaround on work that was easily completed by competitors. We did not agree or approve work being done, nor did we sign a contract, nor were we even QUOTED a price. Until we used someone else it would have remained a free estimate. Would not recommend.
Great shop, highly recommended! James diagnosed my 11 yr old unit as having a bad capacitor in 10 mins. Could have lied and pushed me to a new system but they didn’t. After a small service call and part fee I was back up and running. Cudos to an honest business. They will definitely get my business when it’s time to replace.
Have had Tipton’s doing semi-annual maintenance checks on our 2 HVAC units since we bought our house-3 years ago-house built in 1995... they have been great.. ...one of our units stopped running; they came promptly... checked it out thoroughly and explained that the compressor had gone bad... ...they were very thorough in explaining our option; repair vs. replace; and replacement alternatives—read different brands... ...we chose the replace option and went with Goodman HVAC... their price was great; their installation was very well done; and they are great folks...
