Came out within 16 hours of messaging! Sent a message at 8:30pm and received a response and an appointment time within 30 minutes, which on the 4th of July is amazing! AC started leaking and had to be shut off the night of July 4th and they had it up and running again the next morning! James was very thorough and great to work with. I highly recommend!

We have been gone for the past week on vacation and came home to our upstairs AC unit not cooling. We called Vandy's Heating & Air Conditioning LLC at 3:38 pm and their tech was ringing my doorbell by 4:13! On top of that, he had the part that needed to be replaced and had all the work done and was leaving by 4:27! The price was super reasonable and the service was amazing. HIGHLY recommend if you have any issues/needs!

James is super responsive and comes out quickly. He fixed our AC last year, for a very reasonable price, and has followed up a couple of times to make sure there were no more issues. We just used him for AC maintenance..I highly recommend! Best HVAC company in Huntsville.

Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. My technician was James. He diagnosed and repaired the unit in less than an hour and was willing to listen and answer questions that I asked of him. Highly recommend!

James and his assistant did an outstanding job on replacing my old hvac system. They were both very professional and did a great job. I am very pleased with the high quality level of service and expertise he provided as well as the affordability. I highly recommend supporting this local/veteran owned business.

These guys are great! Literally 1 hour from my initial call to a service tech being done with the repair to my ac! I highly recommend this business.

James answered our call for help immediately when our heat stopped working during extremely cold temperatures. He inspected the situation and quickly found a solution. He did everything that he could to keep our cost to a minimum and it was immensely appreciated.

Do you want to feel like you can trust someone is repairing your problem with your best interests in mind mechanically and financially? I know that I do. Give Vandy's one shot and I have no doubt that you will be more than satisfied. Service with a smile.

Upstairs A/C went out and after getting an exorbitant quote from another business to replace the thermal expansion valve on my evaporator I called Vandy's for a second quote. Spoke with James on the phone and he gave a rough estimate for the cost(much lower than the first) and set a time to come out the following day. James texted when he was on his way over and arrived promptly. After an initial look outside and diagnostic outside at the condenser unit James said the problem was correctly diagnosed as a bad thermal expansion valve on the evaporator and wanted to go to the attic to confirm. He said before going inside he wanted to check inside the condenser unit. This is where things took a bad turn, hence the two star review. After removing the fan on the condenser unit James noticed an issue with the equalizer line for the thermal exchange valve on the condenser unit. The line was touching a supply line to unit and had been fused to it due to the high heat. James reached in and pulled the line free and when he did, it created a hole in the line and it started hissing as refrigerant began to escape. It was apparent he knew he made a mistake by the look on his face. He immediately went into a defensive mode, saying that if he didn't pull the line free, it would have eventually failed. While this is possible, the unit is 11 years old, and has never had an issue with the condenser unit. The problem was inside the attic on the evaporator and he really reason to even open up the condenser. He said he would not be able to weld the line and that all the refrigerant in the system would escape as a result. Now in addition, I would need to replace the thermal expansion valve in the condenser unit as well as pay to recharge the entire system. I was not happy with the situation and told him I felt that he should cover costs of at least the refrigerant. After going back and forth a bit he said he would be willing to offer a discount on the repair, but it did not come close to equaling the cost of the additional parts, labor, and refrigerant. I contacted another HVAC technician who was able to weld the equalizer line that James was not able to do and saved me the cost of additional parts/labor but I was out over $700 in cost for recharging the refrigerant in the system due to his mistake. All in all James was on time, knowledgeable about the system, and professional with his communication for which I have given two stars. I wish he would have been more willing to own up to his mistake and make things right, especially when building trust with a new customer and this probably would have been a five star review. Based on my experience, I regretfully would suggest you look elsewhere if you need HVAC work done.

They came when they said they would on multiple different visits. They worked over several days to ensure my problem was solved. They even came back at 5pm 6 hours after repairs were complete, to verify the unit was running properly to ensure all repairs were working as expected.

Thank you Vandy’s for the prompt response and quickly diagnosing the issue. This was a 6 month old ductless mini split unit that required replacement of a flair fitting that was not sealing properly and had obviously been over tightened by (“the original installer”)
