Just had the furnace annual maintenance done by Kevin D.. He was very helpful to go over the various items checked and made sure all parts of the furnace were working to spec. He also cleaned the water filter and replaced and again made sure all things worked. Very satisfied customer.

I'm positing it again here because a) it's detailed and b) I don't want to type this all out again and c) they did such great work they deserve the (admittedly minimal) effort to give them the review they deserve!
Our experience could not have been better.
We woke up at 5:30AM on Friday, February 15, 2019, to a 62 degree house; it was cold outside and the inside temps were falling. At some point during the night/early morning the furnace had shut down. I checked the furnace to such a degree as I knew how--which, interestingly enough, I was shown how to do by a Kiernan-Laitinen technician 5 years prior when we had our aging furnace inspected, cleaned and serviced.
After trying several times, it was a no go. The furnace would blow, but no heat. It appeared our 20+ year old furnace would need repair/replacing. Having had such good service prior, we called Kiernan-Laitinen again. The person who helped us--I'm sorry to say I cannot recall his name--told us a service tech would be on the way shortly to inspect the furnace and explain any options. And he was, and he did!
The technician arrived within an hour of our call and after a short inspection gave us the bad news, the heater for our model was shot and if replaced would likely run us over $1200, while a new furnace, which would cost more, would be a better investment over time. Not terribly surprising, it was 20+ years old. The technician told us his service manager would contact us shortly with repair or replacement options. And they did!
In addition to repair or replacement options, the service manager offered to send another technician out with space heaters if we needed them. Thankfully we were not there yet, but the offer was certainly appreciated. The service manager gave us the quotes and explained they had another emergency job the same day (no heat in winter is no joke) and once we decided on our options would do his best to get us serviced the same day. And, dare I say it again? They did!
After some discussion, a review of finances, and more discussion, we opted for a new furnace install, with some additional options. We called Kiernan-Laitinen and asked to set an appointment for the install, with the understanding it might be a chilly evening (inside temps were now in the 50s, I was wearing two layers of everything). But not so! They were able to send another tech out almost immediately--within an hour of our call-- to begin disconnecting the old furnace and prepping the area for the new install. A short while later--it was still light outside--a small team arrived with a new furnace on a truck. A short while after that a larger team arrived and began the simultaneous removal of the old furnace and installation of the new. Soon it was after 5pm, dark outside and temperatures were dropping--I was honestly expecting to hear them packing up to head for their own warm homes and explain how a team will be back Saturday to finish...?
But that was not the case. They kept at it to completion. Two hours later they finished the install, inspected our duct-work, checked the vents and sure enough, heat!
By 10PM our house was "back to normal" and our new furnace kept us warm through the winter (and the dismal 2019 spring, bleh).
Now the heat of summer is setting in, and we are thinking "Air Conditioner". Guess who we are going to call?

Recently, I had a new furnace humidification system installed and had my furnace ducts cleaned in two seperate visits to my home in Racine, WI by Kiernan and Laitinen Heating & Cooling. The crew arrived punctually for each appointment and were very considerate and informative. In each case, the work was done well within the estimated time period and all residue related to the work was completely removed from all affected areas prior to their departure. In the case of the humidifier, their employee completely explained the use and maintenance of the device. I would highly recomment hiring this agency for repairs and new installations. Their pricing for the work done was very fair and competitive. Good job guys & thank you!

Unbelievable, called early Sunday morning and got a call back in a few minutes from the technician Kevin. Their rates were more affordable than the 2 other places we called and he was able to get our heater running same day. Really couldnt ask for more, very knowledgable people.

Kevin D. was able to help me install a new thermostat in my home over the phone. He kindly and patiently walked me through the installation and had an answer to every question I asked. Thanks to him, I learned a thing or two and had a new working thermostat! Definitely recommend. :)

If I could have rate zero stars I would have. They came out for my AC unit that was not blowing cold air. They were here 2.5 hours, charged me full price and left. My ac still was not functioning. I called them back and they came out the next day. This second individual who came out seemed to have an attitude. They again charged me full price and left. His exact words were " there is nothing else we can do for you". My AC unit still was not working. They concluded that my unit was dirty and on both days and simply cleaned the filters. It was over 90° in my house. Anyone would have known something was still wrong. So I called another company who came out and within 25 minutes found that I needed a new capacitor. They fixed it and my ac is running like new. I called Kiernan-Laitinen back to make them aware. Their only words were " Ok, thanks for letting me know". I will NEVER go back to them and I will continue to tell everyone I know my experience with them. I DO NOT recommend them AT ALL.

During our July heat wave, our older central air went out. We called Kiernan and Laitinen and they sent someone over that evening. The first serviceman went up into our poorly laid out attic and was unable to do much for us, but put us on the appointment list. The next two guys who came the next day discovered we had a very unique system that was only used for one year before the company changed it. K & L took the time to research my system, trouble shoot and find parts. We had at least four visits and the bill was very reasonable for all the trouble they went through. I mentioned the attic because the way it is laid out makes any work up there difficult at best and in order to take care of some of the work, two service men were needed. I did not give a 5 star only because there was a mix up with the office and the answering service that caused a day delay in an appointment.

We've been using Kiernan for years. They handled all of our HVAC work. We have never been disappointed. You can count on them to do an excellent job. Highly recommended.

On friday 07 12 13 I called your company Kiernan & Laitinen to check my furnace it was making a loud noise. A service man arrived within 15 min I was told I needed a blower, but because the furnace was so old I said I wanted to buy a new one. Later that day the owner Jon arrived with several options, after making a selecting he stated he'd return the same day with an application which he did. I completed it over the weekend for Jon to pickup on monday, when he didnt come I called the office and was told he'd pick it up later that day, well he didn't nor did he even to call the weather was in the ninety's. This was very unprofessional I researched his company it was rated 1 out 5 stars & I see why. I researched FIRST CALL HEATING & COOLING they were rated 5 out 5 stars I am happy to say an excellent job & quick service was appreciated, thanks Brian Christman.
