Rich & his crew were first rate. We love our boiler/hot water system.

They arrived on time. Cleaned up after themselves every day. No unexpected cost incurred. Answered all our questions and we had a lot of them. Ernie is a commercial electrician so they took a deep dive into tech stuff that meant nothing to me. The system has functioned beyond my expectations, which is good because for my accounting brain, this was a lot of money to spend. But I could not be happier with it. We interviewed and got 4 bids. Rich was by far the most knowledgeable. We learned something from each contractor we spoke with, but Rich topped it off.

We had two electric hot water heaters and a 1953 vintage oil fired boiler. Ernie prepped the boiler for demo to save a little on labor. This was a big ugly, dirty beast to be hauled up out of the basement. Rich's crew did a fine job with this & contained the dirt. Then hauled it all away. The change over never left us without hot water and one day with out heat. We did the install in early Nov 2014. They also did all the natural gas piping for the system and to the upstairs fireplace so we can put an insert in. So they were drilling holes in the house for the pipes coming in & up in our attic running gas line across to the other side of the house.

They called the first morning to let me know when they would arrive. We met them the first morning, then they let themselves in the next two mornings. Super trustworthy & respectful of our home.

The night the system came on line the install crew stayed & chatted & told us everything about how the system worked. They were truly interested in making sure every radiator was heating properly and the system was functioning well. Then Rich came by the next evening & spend several hours making sure we understood everything.

Ballpark estimate on site was between 7.5K to 9K. After three weeks of following up, was finally sent a quote of $13K, and it incorrectly listed a different installation type that was proposed during the consultation. They offered to come back to my property to take another look to “see what they can do”. Next day was sent an even higher quote without any explanation. Classic bait and switch and unethical business. Absolutely no insight or sophisticated knowledge provided during both on site visits. Kept stating that they were a “5 star business” ad nauseam. Complete waste of my family’s time.

We are so very impressed with energy works. First, we got 5 bids that no one could beat particularly for the equipment they were installing. Second, they were responsive and efficient. Finally, their team was top rate both in skill and people skills. Tom paul and Nick were the two hardest working guys we’ve ever seen!

Great place I came in for an interview. Hopefully the future will have a job for me.

“For several years (since 2012) Energy Works (fka Blue Flame) and their employees have been providing our home with timely maintenance for a boiler (Triangle Tube Solo 110 95% boiler) and water heater/tankless installation done in 2011. Our initial installer, Kaleb, was a delight to have in our home and clearly had full command of the technical expertise necessary to address the complications associated with converting from an old oil furnace with the original install as well as with the annual checks of the system. This year, in advance of what would be the normal annual maintenance visit we called because it appeared that water was accumulating in our "boiler/water heater room" from an unknown source. I called Energy Works and was immediately given a next day appointment for Kaleb to visit. Kira Hanson, Energy Works Office Coordinator, was quick to understand and get us set up. Later that day she called and moved us up to an earlier time slot, effectively reading my mind that with a water issue, sooner is better than later. Right on time, the Energy Works truck appeared at our house and I went out to meet "Kaleb." I was a little surprised and I said (to Mac), “Hey, you’re not Kaleb.,” to which he replied, “No, I’m Mac but am trained in all things Kaleb.” What a great response. Funny, confident and professional all at the same time. Mac listened to my rambling about a leak in the condenser pump, made sense of it all and fixed the problem - in addition to doing the normal maintenance. He even came with a spare condenser pump, which it turned out, needed replacing as the source of the water leak. He walked us through what he did and why he did it and then before he left he made sure we didn’t have any more questions. Energy Works has delivered excellent and professional service since our opening contact with owner, Rich Vulliet, installer Kaleb, Office Coordinator Kira and until our most recent encounter with Mac. We had Caleb out this morning to troubleshoot and repair a problem with our radiant floor system. Caleb showed up when he said he would and immediately went to work diagnosing the problem. He quickly found the problem and replaced the defective part and was on his way. We have used Energy Works numerous times over the years and have always been pleased with their service.

5 stars plus. I can’t say enough about these guys. I had them out about a year ago to repair my boiler. They were excellent so I called them back to add some radiators, complete with a re-pipe and a general rehab of all my boiler components. I got a few quotes for this work, and if you’re looking into this you’ll know it’s not cheap! But to be honest I’ve never been so pleased to write a check for the service I received from these guys. Cody was able to come out within a day or two of my first call. He seemed to know everything about our boiler, and was really great with problem-solving and coming up with alternative solutions. We had a couple of old boilers that we were hoping to take out and spiff up and put back in. No problem! He talked me through everything that was available, and the pros and cons to each. Then his guys showed up and got to work. They were here for three days, as it was quite an extensive project. All of his guys were completely professional, and wasted no time getting to work on all the details. They have one guy, who is THE guy you want working on your system. He reminded me of rain man at the card table. It was awesome. They finished on time, and left the place spotless. At the end, Cody came back and walked us through how not to be afraid of our boiler, lol! I feel super confident that we had the best guys in Seattle working on our boiler system.

I am still reeling from astonishment at how wonderful this company is! I realized my problem early afternoon on a Friday and it was fixed within a couple of hrs that same day. The service was friendly and informative. Nathan was very courteous and knowledgeable. He identified the problem right away and fixed quickly. It was truly a pleasure to work with him, even under the circumstances, lol. Highly recommended!

Quick response to our dilemma of no heat or hot water due to a boiler component failure (as opposed to another company assigned by our home insurance). The technician was very helpful in explaining the problem and managed to give us a temporary fix until the part was found and installed the next day. We were impressed enough with their quality service to sign up for their yearly preventive maintenance program. I definitely recommend this company to anyone with HVAC repair needs.

I can't say enough good things about the technician, Nathan, and the repair work that was done. The company was responsive to my phone call and set up an appointment quickly. Nathan showed up on time, was personable, helpful and thorough. I would use this company again and would recommend them highly.
