    There simply aren't enough complimentary comments to say about the quality and thoroughness of the service and repair.
    After spending virtually an entire day replacing the domestic coil coil in my boiler and resolving all the associated issues, I no longer have ANY hot water issues that I have lived with for many years.
    Their promptness, skill, patience, and professionalism exceeds excellent.
    Mike Straddeck & Associates is a quality organization rarely found.

    After the freon didn't last due to a hole in the a/c coil decided it was time for a replacement.
    Went with Mike Straddeck and wasn't disappointed.
    Arrived in the time frame given and went straight to work. By 3 pm the new unit was installed and working.
    The old unit would take 10-11 hours to go from 82 to 70 degrees and the new unit only took slightly less than 2 hours to reach 70 from 82 degrees.
    Air seems cleaner and has no issues maintaining the temp set unlike before.
    Do not hesitate to use for any hvac needs you will not be sorry.

    I will recommend Mike Straddeck to everyone. They have the best, most efficient service I have ever had dealing with my AC and heating. I had no heat and told them I had to be to work for 1pm. They were empathetic and said they'd have someone out by 1pm. The tech Max was here before 11am and had the part replaced and heat working leaving me plenty of time to get to work on time. This is just one of the reasons I will always use Mike Straddeck.

    Mike Straddeck and Associates have always been there for us when our air conditioning and heat has gone out. The crews show up on time or call when running late from another job. They are polite and always have on clean uniforms. Great company to call when you need heat or AC work.

    Mike Straddeck and Associates have serviced all our HVAC needs since 1966. You can't ask for a more knowledgeable and honest firm. They're not the lowest price on the market, but they certainly are the best buy for your money. In the end, they give you the best deal in Hampton Roads.

    And service....they're the best....on time or if changes must occur, communicating promptly....responsive to emergencies...the highest quality.

    As a home inspector, I always recommend annual contracts for HVAC and termite maintenance and inspections. There are only two companies I recommend...one is Straddeck & Associates. And I'm very demanding.

    We called at 8:00AM as our AC quit during the night. By 10:30 that same morning, a technician was here, checked our unit and fixed the problem. The cost was way less than we expected. The technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. We definitely recommend this company for any AC work. They will be the only one we will call ourselves.

    Beware.
    Had a technician come out in 90 degree weather to take a look at a rental property AC unit. The Air handler in the attic was making an unnatural noise and the AC was staying on longer than it should. BUT THE HOUSE WAS COOL AND COMFORTABLE.

    He determined that the blower in the air handler was bad and removed the entire blower and took it to his truck. As he was packing up to leave, I asked him about an ETA for the replacement part (I hadn't even gotten an estimate by this time). He said he "didn't know". I didn't even get an approximate range of dates.

    My tenant just had his family arrive from Indiana to visit for the weekend and now they were going to have to spend possibly the entire Memorial Day Weekend in a house with the upstairs bedrooms at 100+ degrees. Unlivable conditions.

    When I asked the technician why he removed the part and was leaving he simply stated that the part needed to be replaced. "But the house is now in an unlivable condition!" i said. it didn't seem to matter to him.

    I asked him to replace the blower fan immediately. It may not have been working at 100%... but at least it was working... and had been working (loudly) for at least 4-6 weeks.

    He angrily went back and replaced the blower housing... then didn't bother to even get it back to a workable condition and then left.

    Well... fortunately the company didn't charge me for the $95 service call (I was 1.5 miles away from their office)... but they stood by the actions of their technician saying he was "one of their best technicians". Shouldn't I have been given the choice as to whether he was going to take away an large part of my air handler unit and leave it inoperable in 90 degree heat... or whether to leave it running for a few more days ... or a week until the replacement part came in???

    So I'm a bit of a handy guy.... so I went into the attic and removed the blower fan and inspected it. I made a few adjustments and replaced the blower. Now it works 100% and purrs like a kitten. No noise.

    I probably still need a new blower at some point, but my fixes are legitimate and most likely will last several years.

    As with all HVAC companies... please beware. They will do the least amount of work and charge the highest prices they can. I bet this guy just wanted to get the heck out of my house as fast as he could so that he could get to huis next $95 service call. Nevermind actually fixing something.

    All of these companies are probably the same but since I only had the bad experience with Mike Straddeck & Associates, i feel obligated to warn everyone.. They are in it for the $95 service call.

    Failed to show for first appointment. Price $10.00 higher than price quoted, then received a bill for 89 cents. From 79 to 89 to 89.89. Gentleman who showed was clean and efficient.
