I am shocked this place has so many good reviews. This business is shady and double the price of others. I was charged $150 to come out on the weekend. Dispatch told me $75+$75 for a weekend call. Others are $65 any day of the week. Shame on me for not shopping around first.
When the tech was speaking with me he said it’s always $75 no matter the day. I asked why I was charged $150 then he said well it’s $75 for them to come out and inspect, then another $75 if they find something and have to diagnose...The original tech who came out did not confirm the follow up appointment but placed me on a different techs schedule. The new tech had no idea why he was coming to my house, but said I should call the original tech and ask why. Shouldn’t he call and get information about what he’s coming out to fix before arriving? Not sure why that is my job to liaison between employees.
Was told a sensor needed to be fixed and the original tech couldn’t fix over the weekend due to needing to order the part. The second tech called and said he didn’t have it, then called back and realized he did have it. $160 later during the second visit replacing the sensor, the tech said many other things were wrong with my heater. I was told to expect 5-6 hours of work (at 75/hr) plus parts and labor.
I had a different company come out for FREE and give a second opinion. Night and day difference in communication, documentation, and educating me. The second company said everything was fine, nothing needed to be fixed. I feel truly taken advantage of and I plan to share this with my landlord network in the San Marcos and surrounding areas because nobody should have to deal with shady and dishonest businesses.
Quality HVAC has been taking care of our needs since 1984 when AJ’s dad installed it in our house! Because of their service and maintenance the first unit lasted until 2020. 36 years! I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

Ismail was great figured out what was needed and didnt leave me hanging thank god, it was hot and I'm sure its gonna get hotter,he said it might last me awhile longer but I know it's an older air conditioner and will need a new system soon many thanks to Quality HVAC & Refrigeration
