RITEWAY SERVICE COMPANY

I have been working with them for several months. Eventually my entire system had to be replaced. All the employees that came to my home were friendly and professional. I appreciate that they were honest with me and did not take advantage by overcharging while I was in a desperate situation as some of the other companies I contacted wanted to do.

They installed an HVAC system without performing accurate calculations/ measurements of the house. They installed the HVAC system but it was not up to code. Due to high static pressures(and installation errors) the system (still under warranty) failed within 2 yrs. They were called to look at/repair the system. They refused to even come out and see why it failed. I would have been fine if they just would have worked to make it right. Since it was under warranty, I had the manufacture plus 2 other companies diagnose the issue. All said the same cause of failure: improper installation and high static pressure. Paperwork in hand... I reported them to the BBB. Do not hire this company. Sloppy work, no aplogies, & they never attempted to make it right. I would have been happy if they would have came out, serviced it, and tried to make it right. The fact they refuse to return to service their own system tells you a lot.

They installed a new indoor & outdoor unit for $8000 for us a few months ago. They were lazy, sloppy, and unprofessional. They wound up fixing almost everything they screwed up the first time, but i keep finding some new problem even though they passed a second city inspection?? Obviously the City of SA hvac inspection team sucks too.

If you ever need a new hvac unit, do NOT pay until they SHOW you every nook & cranny of the installation, AFTER it has passed city inspection, and try to watch them during the installation. Afterward, have another hvac company come out for a "maintenance check". If they find anything wrong, get the original company's butt back out to your house.

These companies really poke your eyes out either way, but try to make them at least deserve to be paid at all.
