I needed my entire AC/heater system replaced, and I contacted 6 different AC companies for quotes. In the end, Dr Cool Professor Heat stood above the others in terms of getting a quality system at a fair price with a great warranty and customer service.
Sakis came to my home, examined the old system, and took measurements to make sure I was getting the right size system. He listened to my concerns and patiently answered any questions I had, and I had many. He thoroughly explained why I was having issues in some parts of the home and what could be done to correct them. What made Sakis stand out from the others is he was listening to what was important to me. Best fit is how I would describe the system he recommended.
For the install, I had Andy, Joe and JR followed later in the day by Kevin and Matt. They were professional and friendly and answered any questions I had. They did a fantastic job and finished faster than I expected. The work they did is clean and professional, and the system performs well. Sakis came out the next day to perform a quality inspection which was a nice touch.

The tech was able to fix the thermostat after the company that did the original install wanted $800 to replace it. He also pointed out issues with the installation. The HVAC had been installed on inverted footings that could not support the weight of the unit. It listed hard right and eventually over time would break the water drain. There were other issues pointed out that he said wouldn’t have pass inspection. So I called the installation company and at first they said it had been inspected. When I told them I needed the inspection report because the city needed to be informed they had a bad inspector they back tracked.

Been with this company for many years. Very pleased with their response when needed and quality of work. Today they just did annual maintenance. Their technician Eddie is one of their best. In response to my questions, he gave a good explanation of what he’s looking for, what he notices, and what I can do to keep my system working for a long time.

We had them replace both our a/c unit and furnace… they also replaced the duct work and add it some to a closet. Very professional and did great work. They were on time and price was about middle of the road, not the most but not the cheapest, but they do not cut corners and do a thorough job. Highly recommend them.

This company replaced my air conditioner and installed a new AC sitting on cinder blocks raised up on the side of my house. It looks absolutely horrendous. I asked the installer to install it on the concrete pad before they even left, but they didn’t. I’ve asked to have the AC lowered off the cinder blocks onto the concrete pad multiple times to no avail. I wouldn’t recommend their service to anyone. I paid top dollar for an air conditioner that looks terrible from the front of my house because it’s sitting on blocks. Avoid this company at all costs.

My old HVAC unit was already at the end of its life span, trailing twenty years, with rusty leaky evaporator and already costing me Freon gas top-ups and high electricity bills to cool the house. Wify advised to call Doctor Cool for new HVAC unit installation because she "just knows they are right" for our plan to pay out of pocket but I decided to shop around with two other companies and an independent contractor before calling Doctor Cool.
Wify was so right! From the experienced Sales Rep Sakis, to the friendly professional installation team (Kevin and Matt), the office support team and the post-installation QAQC guy, all these people are customer satisfaction oriented. I not only got a bigger two stage HVAC unit at way lesser price than the other companies quoted for single stage unit, they added free extra perks others wanted to charge for. There were no complicated paperwork contract! Their job is very professional and neat. I'm pleased with my new indoor and outdoor units.

We had a whole new Lennox system installed at the end of May last year. The technicians basically installed the new inside and outside units the same way they would in a new home. Duct work, new insulation, everything!!! The technician today, came and did his bi yearly service maintenance. The house has NEVER cooled the way it is now. And I'm telling everyone reading this, the unit will 100 % pay for itself. Our electric bill was pretty much half of what it was last year during the summer months. EVERYONE in Galveston County and the surrounding areas should definitely make an appointment with Dr Cool and Professor Heat for their cooling and heating needs. They get the job done!!!

I had an issue with my whole house generator. I called on Monday they were out on Tuesday to check it out. Mike showed me what the problem was and showed me what to look for if it arises again. Highly recommend Dr Cool. They have always responded promptly when any problem has arisen.

Submitted plans and am unable to get anyone to even contact me back. Called multiple times, sent emails, and gave time between for response.

Would not recommend for commercial.
