Brett came out to check our HVAC system to make sure it’s in good working order before the sweltering heat is upon us. I’ve never had any problems with it but feel so much better knowing that a professional gave it a 👍🏼. Guy came out and they said they fixed the leak. A weak later called them back and they said that they had to put more Freon because the leak was reopened. Would not recommend to anyone.
Not sure what to make of it. Scheduled a ac checkup. Guy came out, did the check and told me we were low on freon. I said ok, well how much to put it in. He told me, I paid it, but then he said, well technically I already charged it cause part of the check is to see if it will take a charge. So.....did he charge me for the refill when it was part of the checkup? Did he really top it off or just put a little to see if it would take a charge? Not sure but went from $90 to $230, for him to say he technically already did it, and then left after payment. I'm not saying he didnt do it, but obviously it the charge was part of the check, then why did I have to pay for it? Why would he have filled it if we hadnt discussed anything over the $90 checkup at that point? Just have questions now...
I called Brett due to an intermittent heating problem. He responded quickly. I had done some troubleshooting prior to calling and had narrowed the problem to a couple of possible causes. When Brett arrived, he listened to my assessment and went about to see what evidence there might be to support or refute what I was thinking. In the end, he came to the same conclusion as I and searched deeper to try to eliminate one or more of the options. Of course, since the problem appears to be intermittent, it never showed itself while he was here. I was truly impressed with Brett's level of knowledge and professionalism. I would strongly recommend him and his company. He knows what he talks about.
After finding out that PEC provides $100.00 bill credits for servicing your air conditioner, I called Brett (The AC Guys). I had been contemplating replacing my 19 year old air conditioner with a model that got me to Net Zero with my solar panels , but after several quotes which topped well over $30,000.00, I put that thought on hold. There was no way a Net Zero system would balance out in cost. So, I decided to call Brett (The AC Guys) out to service my AC instead, and talked to him about his thoughts about a Net Zero system. I would keep this information in the back of my mind for when the time came that I NEEDED to replace my aging air conditioner. Well, I experienced the most pleasant surprise: Brett took the time to understand what I wanted, listened to my concerns, and I even mentioned some of the items on my DREAM/ WISH LIST (media filter and an air scrubber/ purifier). Brett quickly made it clear that I did not need the ridiculously priced systems I had been quoted, gave me options (i.e.: price of a lower end ACs with higher electric costs vs. a higher end ACs with Net Zero billing etc) so I could ultimately decide what I needed, wanted...etc. We were able to get a NET ZERO system for LESS THAN the baseline cheapest price (i.e.- not even close to a NET ZERO) system I was quoted by others. Not only was Brett by far the best price, he never once tried to up sale me in any way, and I got EVERYTHING I wanted (even the media filter and air scrubber). He just wanted me educated and happy knowing I still might not even get a system. I will not be calling any other AC company for my AC needs than The AC Guys in our future. We are so lucky to have him right here in our neighborhood. Thank you Brett
