Awesome service! My HVAC control board went bad, and I called a friend who's an outstanding roofer, and asked if he knew a trustworthy and reliable HVAC specialist. He recommended G&S Mechanical right away. I called, and Gabe from G&S went to work getting me a quote, and in the meantime let me borrow a used control board for free so we didn't have to sweat out the weekend!

This is who my home warranty used. I paid $75 decuctible. My son was present as they provided explanation what was wrong. They claimed there was a leak and coils were bad. They told my son that the repair was anything $2000 and up. Because I was using my home warranty, they wouldn’t release the report even tho my home warranty denied the claim. I found a more honest company and now have a working AC for only $550.00. Don’t use this dishonest company.

Quality, knowledgeable service staff, exceptional office staff and an overall commitment to doing the very best for their customers - we have now had two experiences with this company. They look for a quality but low-cost solution for your A/C or Heating unit, if one is available, and are very committed to really helping their customers. Our commercial office had an old (2002) a/c unit and we feared we would have to buy a new one - they remembered they had one in their warehouse and searched for it until the found the part we needed - saved us thousands.

I had my fan go out after a power outage and called G&S. They were prompt, professional, safe and responsive in fixing my problem. I will be using them again if I have any more trouble and recommend them strongly.

I called G & S in November of 2017 and had found out that my evaporator coil had a leak so I went ahead had the upstairs unit replaced due to age and cost of R 22 Freon . They came that same week to replaced the system. Abraham,Jairo and Jeremiah were very professional and did an excellent job.There was a small issue with the furnace but they came out right way and corrected the issue. Then on 3/21/2018 I called them to check on my downstairs unit. Huber and Rigo quickly found a small leak in the line and repaired it.They were very courteous and answered my questions. I will definitely use them again when it comes time to replace the downstairs unit. Thanx G&S !

Gabe came out after hours and did not charge me the 1.5x the normal amount. He was professional and kind. He explained to me everything that he was doing as he was doing it. I can't say enough how he could have taken advantage of me, but chose not to. G & S has a customer for life as long as his amazing service continues.

Oh, and btw. No charge to diagnose. Their competitors wanted to charge me 80$ just to come out and look.

I love family-owned businesses that offer the professional services of a corporate entity. G&S genuinely cares about their customers. You'll never reach an answering service because they keep the phones on them 24 hours a day. They also offer military discounts, which is awesome. For Hutto area AC services, this is the company to call.

They answered their phone right away unlike others I called in the morning. The repair man came out earlier (after confirming by phone) than planned and quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown starter capacitor on the compressor unit. The part was quickly replaced and the system is now working fine.

Don't use this company!! My contractor hired G&S Mechanical to install a full HVAC system at my property. G&S was provided a complete scope of work and agreed to that scope of work via emails that were exchanged between my contractor and G&S. G&S failed to completely install the system as per the scope of work and when my contractor had them go back to finish the work, they charged us $1100 extra. Not only was the work in question already covered under the original scope of work, G&S charged exorbitant rates for what they claimed was "extra work". When my contractor refused to pay the additional sums, G&S filed a lien on the property for the $1100 which I subsequently had to pay.
Currently, I'm in the process of selling the home. My buyers had an inspection done on the property, and two issues were found with the HVAC system. The first issue had to do with the failure of G&S to properly install a filter over the return air duct. Because of this oversight by G&S, sheet rock dust got into the HVAC system and caused some issues that need to be fixed. The second issue had to do with the failure of G&S to use fire-rated insulating foam around the furnace exhaust pipe. I contacted G&S to have them come out and repair these two issues which are covered under the 1-year warranty, but they claimed that neither issue was a warranty issue and said they would not fix either problem.

They came out and diagnosed my hvac unit. They said it would cost $500.00 to repair some wires and then it may cost more because my compressor may be bad. I felt uneasy about their diagnosis so I had another company come out and they reattached the red wire from the compressor on to the contactor. All was fixed for 69.00 from this other company. G and s are liars and their after hours lady/owner was very unprofessional. Never call this company unless you feel like writing a 1 star review on Google.
